A cool breeze drifted across the land, stirring up the leaves and dust. Ants marched around a half-eaten sandwich busily, breaking it down into pieces as they carried it back to their nest a few feet away. A few birds tried to peck at the sandwich, but they were too annoyed with the ants to keep fighting for it. A lizard scurried from the shade of the nearby trashcan, sprinting quickly through the grass to the benches, then disappearing into a crack in the pavement. It was a quiet day, a sunny day, a cloudy day, a boring day.
