Some experiences in life can really mess with you for a long time.

Taro leaves.

They make a good soup when you blend them.

My parents prefer them boiled or steamed.

I don't.

I hate them in any other form besides blended soup.

Why?

Well, as a kiddo roaming around one of my fams farms,

I had an encounter that opened my eyes,

or rather poisoned my mind,

to this very day.

You see, when you steam,

or boil,

or fry taro leaves,

they come out looking a peculiar way,

nothing will change that.
