Find the silver lining. I've always heard that statement or some variation of it. It's supposed to be motivational. Until today, I had never really processed it. Consider this: you wake up to the day looking dreadful; the clouds are dark, dull gray. At some point, you look up again, and the clouds are still gray, but you can see bits of blue and sunlight coming through. A big cloud has edges that seem to glow. As it streaks across the sky, the glowing gets brighter until finally the sun breaks through. That's the statement's origin!
