It's amazing how kids minds work. They find entertainment in the simplest and silliest of things. As a responsible adult, I idly wasted an hour today, lying on the balcony floor, watching clouds drift by. I noticed a cloud's shadow drifting over the valley. As a kid, my school was in a valley, and during breaks, we'd stand near the front yard fence and watch the shadows come down the mountain, and as they approached the fence, we'd sprint for the schoolhouse, trying to see who got to safety before the shadows swallowed them. Good times!
