把基督宗教，科幻龐克和軍事元素摻在一起，《第十三人》不會是第一個，也不會是最後一個。

但，這三個是我深感興趣的主題，而三者的交匯處還是人性，而人性就是把我們全人類連繫起來的永恆主題。

在香港的語境下，基督宗教總是隱含頑固守舊、規條多多的意味；科幻龐克帶來的，是反烏托邦的想像；軍事，則是多半混雜愛國主義，雄風﨣﨣的風格。

以上三種元素結合，就是《第十三人》要說的故事。
