Hi all,

Good morning. Thank you for attending our follow-up meeting regarding the recent changes to the Underworld Restructuring Plan (referred to hereafter as U.R.P.) I understand that the latest actions and orders from the Council, as well as the need to scale what we have been working on to include all five realms, has left many of us frustrated with the increased timeline (trust me, I’m completely there with you.) I would, however, like to remind everyone of the following silver linings:

— The Council could have sprung their orders on us after we had already gotten our systems in place. This could have led to some serious dismantling and rebuilding, which would have more than tripled our efforts rather than simply doubled.
— Elderhart’s and Kumiko’s teams have begun work sorting the new souls coming in, allowing Shannon and her team to untangle the previously misplaced souls and preventing any further erroneous placement.
— The look on the Council’s faces when we dump all of the reincarnators and ego-deaths that have been building up in the meantime on them at once will be delicious.
— RepDiv has successfully replicated a coffee machine in every division, as well as a Lat’kosha (am I spelling that right, @Sa’Tidi?) dispenser for our Thought Realmers. Beverage dispensers for the other realms are still underway. Please pass everyone’s thanks along to the team, @Leonardo and @Pierre.

On those cheery notes, here is a summary of our next steps as discussed today for your records, in chronological order:

As Death explained today, they have (thankfully) been keeping those from different realms in separate purgatories, with the exception of those they gathered for the URP. This will allow some ease of transition once we begin merging them into our processes.
Haniah will collect statistics on manpower from each division and recommend how best to allocate it towards the transition. She will send out underworld-wide alerts preparing all humans from the Maker Plane for the arrival of outerrealm souls, and develop programs to entice the souls from each realm into joining the underwork force once we begin accepting them.
Nuelwe will work with Haniah in understanding inter-realm dynamics, and her team will act as our liaisons to the other purgatories. Establishing an understanding between cultures is critical. As there is at least one soul in our group from each Realm already, expect her or someone from her team to approach you with questions. Help her as much as you can.
Sa’Tidi is playing catch-up to the rest of us. This unfortunately means that they have been forced to hit the ground running when it comes to the creation of the Judgement Hall. However, this also means that they are able to build it from the ground-up with the latest information. They will focus on judging the souls of the Maker Plane first so we can get them moving before the merging of purgatories. They will contact Nuelwe when they need to know of afterlives for the outerrealms, but they have received permission to begin constructing trials for their home realm, the Realm of Thought, after the Maker Plane.
Shannon is to continue Afterlife production and re-sorting as usual until an understanding of each Realm is achieved. Once completed she will work with Haniah and Nuelwe in developing outerrealm afterlives—again, expect her and her team to approach you with questions.
Kumiko will begin looking into outterrealm purgatory accommodations once Haniah and Nuelwe have completed their research. Until then she will continue running the tight, cozy ship she’s been running for all the souls in waiting. (Keep it up, girl. I’m looking forward to the ‘Soul Food: Replicating the Dining Experience’ seminar next week.)
Elderhart is to begin training the Reaper Corp in accordance with its rebranding while continuing to carry out their duties of ferrying souls from the Maker Plane. Once solid communication with outterrealm purgatories has been achieved he will assist in establishing a Reaper Corps. division for each one. He and his team will work with Kumiko’s as discussed in the last meeting.
Bob and his team will continue developing the systems to handle the transitioning of souls. Should they have time (as we don’t yet have any souls transitioning between afterlives yet) they will support Shannon in re-sorting the misplaced ones and acting as liaisons to the Council when needed.

Additionally, Death has offered to ferry each of us to the living plane of each realm so that we may all better understand them. We cannot all go at once, nor are we allowing any returns to our home realms. So be sure to coordinate with your teams and the other PMs on when you’d like to go.

That’s a good question. The concern is that any lingering attachments we still have will get amplified, turning us into ghosts and binding us to the living plane of our realms. @Elderhart can testify regarding the souls that the Corps have been unable to ferry.

As I said to Kumiko, the fear is that we will become ghosts if we linger too long on our home planes. We would like to avoid tempting anyone to stay behind.

As for PTO, I apologize to you and to everyone else here for not discussing time off previously, that was a big oversight that got lost during… everything. Death and I will set aside time to speak about it. Regardless, all PTO for PMs must be approved by me or Death. Please speak to me off this thread about your break plans.

There it was.

With a smile, Jane ripped open the wrapping of her present with all the eagerness of a child, tossing the ribbon, paper, and lid aside with excitement.

Inside the box lay a thick, wooden bat. “Slugger” was engraved in the middle of it.

Grinning, she grasped it by the handle with both hands, stood up, and slammed the weapon down onto her computer as hard as she could. The screen popped with a delightful noise as the casing crumpled, and sounded just as sweet when she brought the bat down for a second, third, fourth, and fifth time.

She turned at the sound of Kay approaching, fixing him with her smile. “I’ve always wanted to do that.”

Eyes formed on Kay’s face to stare flatly at her. "Should I even ask?"

Deadpan, Jane said, "There was a bug." When Kay's demeanor didn't change, she added, "Have you been following the email thread from our latest meeting?"

"Not for the past couple hours."

"Read it. You'll see." Jane tossed the bat aside and fixed her shirt. “Would you please call someone from RepDiv over to fix my computer? I have an email to send.”

As per my last email PTO is something we never considered until you brought it up, and again, I sincerely apologize. Death had no idea what it was and I was rather preoccupied with a) having just died, b) getting this operation running, c) the Council’s curveball, and d) frankly, I’m still dealing with point A. There was a lot going on and this slipped through the cracks.
