My day has been iffy but altogether on the better side. So I had auditions today, and let me tell you that I was so nervous that I changed the song I was going to do, the song that I had decided on weeks prior to today, from "Little Miss Perfect" by Write Out Loud, to "Flowers" from the Hadestown soundtrack (Amazing musical highly recommend listing to or watching or both!) I changed my song 5 minutes after I woke up, and after 1st period I changed it again from "Flowers" to "Vow" by Write Out Loud, and after that, I was trying to decide between what song I should do (Little Miss Perfect, Flowers, or Day in the Sun; I decided against Vow and put Days in the sun as a choice instead). So in the end I didn't finally decide on what song I should do until right before Auditions officially started. Then we started the auditions, my school day wasn't going that great, I had like three tests today and one of them was french which I wasn't ready for at all, so I am only absolutely sure that I got like a 9/15 for my vocab quiz for that, it sucks. Either way we started Auditions, and we did choreography for a part of the song "Circus" by Britney Spears. And I was kinda familiar with it I guess, I mean I wasn't too good that the choreography I think that the last time we went through it was one of the best though, after that we did the solo song auditions, and one thing I found out today at the beginning of the day is that WE CAN DO DUET AUDITIONS! OR LIKE GROUP ONES, so that is the plan for the next musical, "Skylar Sisters" From Hamilton I would be Angelica, and I think Amelia would be Eliza, and then our other friend that is in choir would be Peggy if they decided to join theatre by then. ANYWAYS BACK TO THE SOLO AUDITIONs, so Isat there listening to my song that I have FINALLY decided on, and I was mouthing the words but I went up there with my phone in my hand for the the lyrics just in case. The plan was to play the background instruments for the song on the panel thing on youtube but as soon as I was typing it in Icould see one of my senior friends in the front row, signing to me to not use the panel because it was too loud and they couldn't here some of them singing in the back, but I was planning to turn the panel down either way but in the end i just didn't use it. Then I started I wanted to be more comfortable and loud this year so I chose a song with a high note that forced me to be louder than normal, that was smart of me and I wasn't even thinking about it at the time, at the time when I chose "Days in the Sun" I was thinking I should choose the song that I know the best, which was probably Days in the Sun. So while I was singing it idk if Amelia could hear it but I was shaking, horribly, I was on stage I wasn't able to move so my left hand stayed mid air around my stomach area just a couple of inches away from my body, while my phone was in my right hand so that I could see the lyrics in case I forgot any, I was somewhat frozen I said "HEYY, so um my name is (first and last name) and I am a sophomore and today I will be singing Days in the Sun from Beauty and the Beast the live action version" and after that I took what felt like 10 minutes to just breathe and calm myself, before I started. After that I didn't look at the audience once I think I might have looked up once but I am pretty sure my eyes were glued to my phone screen. I was shaking, and I could hear it in my voice as I sang, I my legs were frozen but shivering and I continued to sing, but my notes when I hit them I could just hear the waving of my voice shaking with my body. After I was done I hopped off of the stage and couldn't really move after I sat down, so I sat down, I drank my soda, and I talked to my friend and then she went up. Amelia she was so self-consious about it, and she always takes me as someone who is brave and i just do things without thinking first, but in truth I think as much as possible most of the time un-needingly or wantingly, I over think a lot and I wish i could just stop sometimes. So Amelia when up and she DID AMAZING I saw her post on her blog and she is kinda conscious about the tiny voice crack at the end, which wasn't really noticeable, like SHE BELTED I COULD NEVER and she did amazing, But after that we read lines and then after that we all went home and I am writing this and I just got a notification from my Theater teacher. ITS THE CAST LIST ITS ALREADY OUT OMG. I am ensemble and the Snoring Wife, in other words I am a side character but I HAVE a lot more lines or rather words, than last years play so I am happy, I kinda wanted to be Rita, who is pretty much a dumb blond, but i love saying her line which is "Philly-dilly" I just love that because its really fun to say it in a high pitched voice. Practices start on Thursday, today was good but now I am back to kind off shaking because like Amelia I have been running on pure adrenaline after the singing solos and that has run out.269Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡLmsShWabmm
