Dance is one of those activities that many people take for granted. A lot of my friends at school mock it and say it’s easy and stuff, which is kinda hurtful considering how much work I put in and the amazing professional dancers I’ve met. Being a dancer means your busy year round, not just during one season like a traditional sport.
Comp teams are something I’ve always wanted to do, and my studio just recently announced that they will be doing it in the future! I’m really excited to compete and get the experience of dancing in front of judges. I look at competitions like this as a way to compete against myself, to see how well I can do, not necessarily against my fellow dancers.
