Not him being a fan of AOT and finding the resemblance of characters in real life.
In a quick minute, he took a note of the next person. Sure enough, he was not looking so friendly.

Jay quietly checked on him and found out other was burning in a high fever. He left the room to look for a nurse who gave him medicine for cold and fever and also instructed him to put a wet cold cloth on the patient's head from time to time.
Before medicine, he had to fill the empty stomach of other according to the medical instructor. And that was a hella difficult task. Jay Wilson didn't get admission for this, but he had decided to save the life of his roommate which wasn't necessary though...

He could just let die other in fever then peacefully can have the whole room again, but he calmed his inner demons and fed his roommate some light oatmeal.
His whole night went applying the wet cold bandages on Iris's head because his fever wasn't coming down, stubborn just like him.

After that day the ice between them started to melt slowly, from saying hi to each other to asking about how the day went sharing thoughts on their subjects.
Jay was doing law and administration according to his father's wish and Iris chose medical because he wanted and it was his dream.
At the start of a new semester, things changed jay now felt at ease around a particular human. they talked about random things from college to the current situation of the country about how corruption and other crimes were increasing.
During this, he came to know about Iris's personality that person looked rude and arrogant at first but when you get close to him he was different had a bright personality, shared jokes in tense situations and make you feel comfortable around him.
But his most terrible habit was that he didn't listen to anyone once he made up his mind. And jay had already experienced his stubborn side.
Jay remembered exactly two months ago when he was talking about his insecurities and phobia he was suffering, he told Iris that he had social anxiety and acrophobia.
But oh man that was probably his biggest mistake.
