西曆二百五十年，奧比拉國是一個十分發達的國家，科技先進。但發達的背後也有不為人知的一面。這裡的非法買賣十分嚴重，很多國家的貧窮人士會為了養活家庭而賣掉他們的家人或者孩子到該國，並進行人體實驗並得到大額的金錢。國家更利用不同途徑招募年輕人。

實驗內容是人類能否獸化成動物，也就是人類擁有動物的力量，以動物力量得到強大的戰鬥力與行動力，當時每年有超過二萬人成為人體實驗的實驗品。

由於該人體實驗成功率低，政府不願意面對現實，更決定每年挑選二十名十二至十五歲青少年，並把他們分為貓科與犬科進行實驗，以他們來培養成優秀的人形兵器。

在五年後，在全國已有大約十萬人是人體實驗的實驗品，並派往戰場成為殺戮兵器，他們被稱為異種人。異種人有優秀戰鬥力與行動力，讓鄰近國家聞風喪膽，在戰爭中屢獲佳績。

當中的國民反對人體實驗多年，更成立反抗軍而發動戰爭以廢除異種人實驗，人們為家人而戰，而異種人將為他們的尊嚴而戰。

主角夏特，是孟加拉虎異種人，是實驗成功品，他是其中一個能夠殺死九十九個實驗品的異種人。三年前從政府軍手上逃走，為了逃避追殺而流浪各處。而他對抗政府軍的目的是為了自己的尊嚴而戰⋯⋯
