Come on, I urged myself onwards (more like upwards), Come on! I can do this! Just a few more!
With super-human strength, I raised my foot upwards. I gasped, as I placed my foot back on the surface, sparks erupting through me, as a flurry of ecstasy swum through my body. I continued my journey up the stairs of my school, determination filling me to the brim.
I will reach the top.
As I continue my adventure up the bumpy stairs I come across an obstacle. My friend.
"Move," I rasped out. "I have to reach the top."
My friend smirked at me, her cruel, mischievous eyes gazing at me.
"No."
I clenched my eyes, letting out a breath.
“Don’t do this,” I begged, opening my eyes.
She only let out a cold smirk, “Oh, but I have to. This battle was destined.”
“If this is what you want,” I said, letting my bag drop to the floor, “then so be it.”
I raised my fist, and so did she. This moment shall go down in history.

“ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS!”
I let out a cry of victory as she knelt down, tears streaming down her eyes.
“No,” she whispered, agony and disbelief filling her eyes.
I knelt down in front of her and placed my hand on her shoulder.
“Come with me, join me on my journey up the treacherous stairs,” I said, offering her my hand.
She looked at me with amazed eyes. “Thank you bro,” she replied, taking my hand.
“I got you sis,” I returned. I raised us both and I continued my expedition, this time with my soul-bound-sister by my side.
A never-ending thousand-and-twenty seconds later, the both of us found ourselves on all fours, our hands grasping the hard, cold surface of the stairs. Our hands were bleeding and bruised but after an eternity of suffering and aching, burning thighs, we reached our destination, the top of the stairs.
“We did it,” I whispered, tears brimming my eyes.
“Yes,” my friend said, “Yes, we did.” Tears of joy spilled down our cheeks, as we worshipped the surface we had collapsed upon. That was how our friends had found us, delirious and jovial.
“Stop dirtying the floor you lunatics,” was what we were rewarded with, for crawling up from the depths of hell.
