屈原很傷心，因為楚頃襄王被迫遷都，而他雖然日夜思念著郢都，卻因為先前遭到放逐而不能回朝效力祖國，讓他十分痛苦和悲傷。他走至長江邊，作《懷沙》一賦後，本打算抱著大石頭投河自殺，順便餵飽飢餓的魚群，誰知道剛好有一位美麗的女子經過，屈原被她的沉魚落雁之貌給迷住了，看得忘了要跳河，手一鬆，懷中的大石頭砰然落地，那名女子嚇了一跳，回過頭來，卻看見一個老人，一臉癡呆的望著她，美女對著他嫣然一笑，笑的屈原神魂顛倒，他本來要向那名女子請教姓名，結果一陣暖風吹來，人就消失了!屈原失望之餘，猜測是天上的仙女下凡，鼓勵他不要灰心喪志，於是打起精神，繼續到別的國家，為他們效勞!
