' Well it's not my fault we still share a room. Mom why do we still share a room..... and a bed?' I asked turning towards my mother, who was trying to fix up breakfast.
' I don't know ask your father' she said without looking at me.
'Seriously , you don't even know? And he is your husband. I can't believe this family' Kaima said in frustration grabbing my remaining bottled water from the kitchen island.
' I won't even say anything' I said smiling at her before making my way upstairs. Seeing my brother at the landing I smiled again.

'Seriously, are you always happy?' he asked tiredly with both hands covering his ears.
' Doesn't it usually lift up your mood a little?' I asked smiling.
' No, it does not, especially in the early hours of the mornings. Ugh'. He groaned before descending down the stairs. 'Mom talk to your daughter'. I heard him say as I made my way towards my room.
Stepping out of the shower I was met with vibrant brown orbs staring right back at me. Walking closer to the mirror, I examined myself. I noticed my dark brown skin was looking vibrant as ever. Must be the carrot oil , I thought to myself.
And my hair, my hair was the best part of me. It was full, fluffy, long and natural. 'Perfect' Isaid to myself smiling . I walked into the room both my sister and I shared to find her staring at me.
She was the complete opposite of me. Her light skin was glowing, I mean, she just woke up, how could it be glowing?. Her hair was nothing compared to mine.
I said mine was perfect, her's was perfect mixed with flawless if there was anything like that. It was far better, she was far better. But well I was better at being cheerful and always happy. She was always in the mood.
'Kammy are you okay?' she asked concerned.
'Why? Yes I'm fine' I told her before walking past her towards the wardrobe.
' Are you sure?' .She asked. ' Because you do know you were smiling at your reflection not to long ago and you where staring creepily at me'.
'What?' I questioned turning to face her direction while examining the white Tee in my hands.
' It's not a crime to appreciate the beauty God gave me'. I replied.
'True ,but you know you do it every single day' she pointed out.
'True, but you know it's still not a crime to appreciate myself everyday' I said mockingly peering at her from the top of the shirt.
' Do you really appreciate yourself Kammy?' she asked laughing making her way to sit on the bed.
'What do you mean?' I asked dropping my hands down. ' You just said I do it everyday'.
'Yes you do, but you also always stare at me right after if I'm to be in the room like, you wished you had what I have' she replied smiling teasingly.
'You are correct' I replied smiling back.
' That's not appreciating yourself if you wish you had something else.' she told me.
' I really love myself Kaima ,truly, but how are we twins if we don't even have same features' I muttered , moving to sit beside her on the bed.
' We look so much alike despite the skin color' she pointed out.
'That doesn't change my fact' I told her.
'Um, we were born the same day?' she said, more like a question than a statement.
'Kaima!' I cried out.
' Okay okay. We don't need to have the same features to be twins, that's not what been a twin means' she said.
' I don't care' I sighed.
' You are beautiful, trust me Kammy. Do you think I don't envy your skin color?' She asked.
'You do?' I asked in return.
' Yes I do, because it always glows' she said . It glows? Always? Wow?
'Ugh she's smiling again' I heard her say .
' Why don't you guys like me smiling? ' I asked.
'We do , just that you do it every time, even in bad situations' she said.
'Its good to always smile Kaima. Especially in unpleasant situations'. I told her.
'What? Why would I do that?' she asked in confusion.
Taking a hold of her hands, I replied her.
'Because the situation won't feel so bad anymore . Smiling always, makes it become a part of you'.
'So do you promise to always stay sincerely happy this time around?' she asked.
I chuckled slightly ' It's a part of me remember' I said nudging her slightly
