It has been two weeks since we got married. After that unfortunate incident where I broke my knee, Adam and I have been in an undeclared truce. He does not taunt me and I try to stay out of his way as much as possible.
Due to my broken knee, I was on leave. But Adam was going to work.
I stare at Adam from the corner of my eyes. He is struggling with his tie.
"That is not the way you wear a tie.", I calmly say.
He glares at me.
I come over to him and gently take the tie from his hands. I wrap the tie around his neck and knot it correctly.
"You know how to do this. How did you know? Perhaps for a boyfriend in the past?", he asks calmly but I know there is anger simmering beneath.
I choose to ignore him.
"Answer me!!", he thunders.
"I did not have boyfriends. And even if I did, how is my past any of your concern?", I evenly say and look at him defiantly.
His nostrils flare.
"Don't lie to me, dammit !!", he curses.
"Stop being suspicious.", I angrily reply back.
He hold my chin with his thunb and forefinger.
"If I find out, you are flirting and talking with other men, I will make your life a living hell wife. Remember that.", he says vehemently.
I just stare at him. After a while, he seems to calm down and he gives a feather-light kiss on my cheek.
He turns to leave.
"Adam, also I hope you are not embezzling any more money out of the company."
He does not reply. He ignores me.
"Adam, you can't continue to do this.", I say to his back.
"If Chris finds out the illegal work, you will lose your job and your reputation. It will put the company at risk."
"OH SHUT UP!!", he roars.
"IT'S ALWAYS CHRIS, CHRIS, CHRIS...".
Within two strides he grabs me by my waist and pins my hands beside my head and leans towards me.
Menacingly he says, "But, my darling wife, you don't need to concern yourself with my well-being, once this is all done and if Chris finds out. Liam will take the blame...not me. Besides, my darling, if I go to prison, you will join me as well. Surely, you know the law. You knew what I was doing and yet you kept silent. The Court is going to see that as an offense. So if you want to continue living in a house, and pay bills for your grandmother's treatment,I suggest you keep your pretty little mouth shut."
"You unethical monster. Poor Liam. You can't play God with other people's lives.", I furiously say.
"Who is gonna stop me? You? My mousy little beautiful wife?"
"I will hate you if you do this to Liam.. I am going to leave you. "
"NEVER. YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO LEAVE ME. UNDERSTAND?", he shouts near my face.
"You will remain my wife. You will not make me a laughing stock among my peers. And if you run back to your precious Liam, I will kill you. I will kill you both. I have seem the way you look at Liam. Did you sleep with him, my wife. Did you offer him your virginity, my flower? Did you scream his name, while he took you?", he shouts in my face, shaking me.
He angrily tries to kiss me. I avert my face. I try to push myself away from him. He is not letting me go. We struggle for a while.
"Kiss me. Kiss me..damn you.. damn you Aishwarya....my wife..my darling... my delicate flower ...", he curses and whispers romantic nothings at the same time and continues peppering kisses on my jaw, my neck and throat.
I give out an involuntary moan.
I can't resist my husband anymore. I seek out his lips.. I find his soft lips.. He plunders my mouth punishingly, then later delicately...
He looks at me triumphantly.
"You are mine. You belong to me.", he smiles evilly.
"Oh, I hate you. I detest you... you monstruous man.", I whisper.
He bites my lower lip, drawing blood. I gasp out of pain and pleasure.
"I will see you later, my wife.", and just like that he is out the door. I look at myself in the mirror. My lips are plump and dark -proof of what I just did with my husband.
