Sansa’s POV
I am completely frozen when he suddenly stops the horse. I wonder why until I see a band of men turn the corner to see us. The Night King pulls his ice spear from his back with his arm wrapping around the front of my stomach to make sure I stay on the horse with him. My fear of the Night King changes to relief when I see who the men are.
I watch Theon himself come straight for me without hesitation. I smile in relief to see him again but the Night King may kill him if he tries to take me away from him. I do not want Theon to die for me. I scream, “Run, Theon!”
“Sansa, come on! Let’s get out of here!” Theon yells, running right up to the horse but stops when he fully takes in the Night King.
Theon backs away in terror as his eyes show the fear of seeing Dead King up close for himself. The Night King twirls the ice spear in his hand about to deliver a death blow to Theon. But someone yells out at the sight of the Night King in the flesh. “Ahhhhhh!”
The few men with Theon are Jaime Lannister, Jorah Mormont, The Hound and two men I do not recognize. They take one look at the Night King and these seasoned guards and killers have terror installed like they have never felt before. And before the Night King could use his weapon, a massive end of a war hammer hits him in the back of the head to throw him off.
I look back to see it is the Monsoon Fox delivering the blow to him. Theon takes this chance, shooting at the Night King. The Night King removes his other arm from around me, catching the arrow like it is nothing. He throws the arrow right back and the arrow pierces into the Hound’s right shoulder. The Hound groans from the hit of the arrow and is about to take it out but he is stopped by the Monsoon Fox.
“Don’t take it out! You’ll bleed out to your death! Leave it!” The Fox shouts at him to make it very clear the danger of where the arrow is in his body.
“Leave! He will kill you if you do not go!” I scream while gripping onto the horn of the saddle.
“What kind of fucking monster are you?!” A dark haired man behind Jaime Lannister shouts in terror of the Night King.
Before another move is made, someone runs up from behind shouting, “There you are! Now’s not time for hide and seek! Let’s get out of here!!”
It is the Brienne, Podrick, Desert Fox and what is left of the Night’s Watch but all of their horses are gone, most likely dead. The Night King changes into the ice cold creature I know him to be and he is ready to kill them all if they do not let us pass through. He’s not going to keep his word now which leads me to make myself slip out of his lap. Thankfully the Hound comes forward and catches me in his arms while Theon whacks the horse on the back end with the end of his bow. The horse takes off but the Night King easily jumps off the horse in a smooth manner that the dark haired man is impressed with it.
The Desert Fox and Monsoon Fox go in together on a swinging kick, sending the Night King back a few steps, dropping his ice weapon. I notice a window a few paces back that the Foxes forcing him back to the window. The Foxes don’t bother to use their main weapons when setting them to the side, instead one of them ball up their hands into a fist. And the other presses something on their armor which causes a duel bladed knives extending out of the wrists.
The Desert Fox and Monsoon Fox chuckle to one another of going head to head with the Night King himself. They both go for him at once. The Night King delivers a few punches between them while dodging the blades. But with a backwards lodge, the Desert Fox cuts the Night King across his chest, leaving a deep scratch on his armor.
“You know what our orders are! Leave him to her!” The Monsoon Fox shouts in anger to the Desert Fox.
“Fuck! Shit! Fine!” The Desert Fox shouts in response then makes the knives go back into the wrists of his armor.
After that, they each take turns going in for a hit, hitting him in the body and face. The Monsoon Fox and Desert Fox are laughing like two little boys playing a game until they see us watching the whole thing. They both groan like the entire lot of us is a bunch of thick headed bastards.
“Go! We’ll catch up!”
The Desert Fox musters up the strength to flip the Night King over him, slamming him into the cold stone floor. The Monsoon Fox grabs his war hammer then tosses the powerful cross bow to the Desert Fox. The Desert Fox aims right at the face of the Night King when he tries to sit up. But the Night King moves the cross bow away from his face and slipping out from under him. He gets to his feet like the fight with them is nothing but child’s play.
“You don’t have to tell me twice!” The dark haired man with Jaime takes off running when I remember he was a knight of some kind for Tyrion Lannister while I was in King’s Landing. I remember him now as Bronn. The Hound does not hesitate either but I look back to see the Night King look right at me, knowing I am no longer going with him by choice.
The others follow, leaving the Foxes to the Night King. The Foxes do not stop landing blows, almost frenzied punches to the Night King. I get one more glimpse of the Night King before being thrown out of the window as we all go around the corner. I hear the glass of the window shattering from the Desert Fox sending the Night King through it.
I look ahead as the Hound is running with me in his arms. I am surprised he is even here at all. I suspected he would stay with Arya since they seem to know each other. But I am not complaining since I am currently away from the fate the Night King has for me. But this is not going to stop him. He will always find me one way or another after this. But for now, we all just need to make it out of here alive.
“What the fuck was that?! Our partnership has ended with that fucker! Seven fucking Hells!” The dark haired man yells in terror of seeing the Night King in the flesh.
“I thought dragons are where our partnership ended, Bronn!” Jaime Lannister yells as he runs next to him.
“You cannot tell me you didn’t shit your pants when seeing that ice horned fucker!” Bronn says in fear like a kid fearing a monster under their bed.
Jaime Lannister does not respond since he too looked like he just shit his pants of seeing the Night King as well. As we are running, the halls are filled with the stench of dead flesh and snarling which means the Night King set his white walkers back on us. The whole lot of us moves our heads to where growling and running noises are coming from in the hallways.
The Desert Fox catches up to us like he was never left behind. But the Monsoon Fox is not with him. He must have chased after the Night King if he is not dead. The Desert Fox easily passes the others running and gets in front of lead the way for us. We keep running until I realize where he is taking which is a terrible idea of a way to escape out of here.
“Time to go up!!” The Desert Fox says to everyone.
The Hound runs past some when I notice Brienne sees Jaime and Jaime grabs her hand in worry for her since she is covered in white walker remains. I wonder if there is something between them just by the looks they gave to one another running side by side.
“You are not the only one thinking that, Stark girl.” Bronn tells me when he runs shortly behind them.
Then the Desert Fox stops while extending his arms out for us to stop as well. Thankfully we all stop and go against the wall with some windows behind us. We all go silent as Jaime and Bronn barely poke their heads around the corner to see what is going on before we make the next move. I wonder what it is in the next hall over.
I see out of the corner of my eye through the window to the next hall over. There are some white walkers coming in our direction. And these are people of the north recently turned into the dead. But the most terrifying thing is the monstrous wolf leading the way to find us. My mouth drops in the shock of seeing this dead wolf again. The blue glow from the dead wolf’s gashing open wound lights up the hall like torch and it is getting brighter as it gets closer.
The piercing glowing blue eyes search the hall like it is walking through these halls hunting and we are the prey. Bronn and Jamie look back to the rest of us like they are about to talk. However their mouths are covered by the Desert Fox. He knows as much as the rest of us that we are dead if any sound is uttered. I place my hand over my mouth when I see Theon gaze at me. He is shaking of the dead wolf but I am certain it is what Ramsey put him through as Reek.
Then the Desert Fox goes to the blonde haired man next to Jorah and they do hand motions to talk between each other. I look to Brienne wondering if she knows what they could be saying but she shakes her head no to me. They finish their hand motions and they both get ahead of everyone while the Desert Fox grabs his powerful crossbow. He gets it all set without making a sound then he nods to blonde haired man. He jumps out and starts firing at them. He takes out the stray of white walkers until the Dead Wolf is all that stands before him.
“Remember me?” He asks the beast, loading up the powerful crossbow again.
The Dead Wolf snarls with its unnatural sharp teeth at the Desert Fox like he does remember and charges at him. The Desert Fox lets off a few rounds then goes on the defense quick, using the walls to his advantage to bounce between the claw attacks of the wolf. The more he dodges the attacks, the faster the dead beast becomes in striking in any manner it can. The Desert Fox bends backwards to dodge its set of jaws when trying to bite his head clean off.
In the process of bending backwards, he turns it into a flip and his feet deliver a double kick of the wolf’s face midway. I am amazed in his fighting skills of how he is using his body, surroundings like they are weapons. I can tell the others are impressed with his skill like they have never seen before it and given the fact that they are warrior themselves show the fighting level.
By some miracle, he is knocking the wolf further back down to the previous hall. The blonde haired man waves his arm for us to follow him. We nod in agreement and he leads the way for us. All of us take off running as the Desert Fox keeps the wolf away. But we hear a cry out from either the wolf or the Desert Fox delivers a possible fatal blow. There is no noise after that, unsure if one or both of them could be dead now.
I look back to see no sign of either of them until the Desert Fox comes around the corner. He is hurt across his chest with an open wound from the striking claws of the wolf. It cut through his armor deep enough that he is bleeding although he keeps going. He does not slow down to catch up to us. I am glad he is alive. I wonder why the Desert Fox wants us to go up in Winterfell rather than try to find a way out to safety but the Desert Fox must have a trick lined up. And whatever it is, it will work.
“You are going to have to run from here, little bird.” The Hound stops a moment and puts me on my feet. He groans in anger that the arrow is bothering him at all as his hands go around the arrow implanted in his shoulder.
Before I could say anything to him, Theon pulls my right arm over his shoulder to help me run. I know I cannot argue with either of them so I go with Theon. I am thankfully able to run a bit more than I thought I could with my injured leg. I know I shouldn’t be happy in any manner but I smile to Theon being here again and saving me from the Night King just like he helped get me away from Ramsey.
But that stops when running next to Jaime Lannister. He sees me for the first time in years since the Red Wedding and Joffrey’s death. He looks at me like he has seen a ghost but to have enough tongue to speak to me.
“You have grown, Sansa. I almost thought I was looking at Lady Catelyn Stark. I am glad you are safe.”
“I am sure your sister sent you to come after me! I had nothing to do with Joffrey’s death!” I yell in disgust to him.
“Lady Olenna poisoned him. I came here on my own. I walked away from Cersei when I learned she would not help in the fight for the world against the dead. As Brienne once said, fuck loyalty.” Jaime tells me when we finally reach the broken tower.
The Desert Fox and some of the others run up the stairs not knowing the stories of the Broken Tower. Theon and I stop knowing the dangers of this tower. Theon and my brothers played up here a few times but my mother gave them quite the earful of the trouble they would be in for going into the tower and how dangerous it is.
No one should go in there. The walls, stairs and the entire structure is bond to truly fall apart in the Long Night especially with that dead wolf not far behind us. I beg for them not to go in there but they are not listening until Theon weighs in.
“We cannot go up here! This entire tower is lucky to be standing to this day! It is jagged!” Theon shouts when everyone stops in what he said about the tower.
“That’s the whole point! It will take out some of the white walkers’ if it was to come down; maybe even take out that fucking demon wolf chasing us!” The Desert Fox shouts while the last of the Night’s Watch run up the stairs not giving a damn.
Theon and I stare at one another in the madness the Desert Fox has however what other choice do we have? Theon and I start running up the stairs together when the snarling sounds of the dead come closer. We remain hand in hand while running up the stairs. No one else hesitates to go up the stairs now.
Monsoon Fox’s POV
I jump out the very same window we kicked the Night King through. The glass of the window surrounds me as I feel myself falling through the air. Until I use the thick handle of my war hammer to catch myself on the ledge of the roof. I am hanging up high enough that if I try to land on my feet, one or both of my legs will break. My eyes go up to see the Night King made it up onto the roof easily. I scoff knowing he is just showing off his dead powers.
I get up onto the roof, placing the war hammer on my backside. I see the Night King running which is something I never thought I would see. I chase after him across the rooftop. I cannot resist in smiling of chasing someone on a rooftop especially the king of the dead of all. The Night King keeps on running as I go after him but the strong winds and snow blowing all around make it troubling to have strong footing. I can no longer see him when I feel myself about to drop off. I catch myself when I reach the roof edge. I gasp in almost going over to my death, thankfully I don’t.
I frantically look around to see the Night King has vanished after chasing him from forcing him out the window. He was fast but I never expected him to escape me this quickly. I stare around wondering how he could until I see exactly how he got away. I see just enough in the snow storm that he has taken to flight.
“Oh shit…” I let out in horror knowing what he is going to do next.
Daenerys’s POV
Drogon closes his jaws shut after unleashing another breath of his mighty flames. I cannot resist in smiling of the sight below us. The white walkers are being slaughtered the longer they try to kill the living. I sit up wondering where Jon and Rhaegal are until I hear a roar coming from above. My eyes go up, smiling when I see the shadow of Rhaegal about to break through the snow storm.
My mouth drops in horror to see it is not Rhaegal but it is Viserion that breaks through the storm, flying right at me. I sob in what he has become of the large holes in his leathery wings, half of his jaw torn apart with his dragon eyes completely changed into glowing icy blue eyes that pierce a hole in my heart to see one of my children turned into a mindless slave.
“No!” I scream with everything in me of sorrow for Viserion and hatred for the Night King turning him into a slave.
This dragon is no longer the Viserion I know and I cannot allow for Drogon nor I to hold back fighting against him. Drogon lets out the same roar in sadness of his fellow dragon, Viserion dead just like he did beyond the Wall. I see the Night King on his back, riding him like he is a Targaryen himself. The shell of Viserion flies right at us when suddenly another massive force collides with him. It is Rhaegal and Jon on his back pushing Dead Viserion through the sky, away from me.
Rhaegal claws at Dead Viserion chest while flying him through the air. I see Rhaegal is fighting his own dragon brother like he knows it is no longer Viserion. This must be their second round fighting one another by the looks of both their injuries. Jon hangs on while Rhaegal snaps his jaws at the neck of Viserion, attempting to tear his neck apart. But it does not work when Dead Viserion gets out from under him, and circles around to chasing him.
Rhaegal roars almost like he wants to keep fighting but his injuries are becoming too bearable to fight against him with everything he has inside him. Rhaegal stays ahead of Dead Viserion when Dead Viserion opens his mouth with flames building up at the back of his mouth but it is blue instead of the bone melting orange red flames it is suppose to be.
I will destroy the Night King with my own hands if I have to. I will avenge my children, Viserion. I lean forward growling in anger to have Drogon dive directly for them. I cannot contain the feeling of losing Viserion through death but now to this dead king. Drogon gains speed, getting closer and closer to him from above. Drogon and I both realize that the Night King is not bothering to look up for any kind of attack.
I keep on snarling until I yell out everything inside me, “AHHHHHH!!!”
Jaime’s POV
I am dreading of being here in this broken tower. The last time I was here was when Cersei and I were here fucking one another at the top. We came up here in the hopes that no one would see or hear us. We even tried not to make a sound, keep quiet. However we were discovered by a boy, Bran Stark by climbing up the tower toward the window. He knew who we were and would tell even if we threatened to hurt him or his family.
I grab him before he could climb back down as I tell him, ‘Are you completely mad?!’
I told the little boy a few times that it was alright to calm him down while Cersei was panicking in the boy seeing us. I kept hearing Cersei say, ‘He saw us! He saw us!’
I tell her, ‘I heard you the first time.’
My eyes went down to see his little wolf pup at the ground, looking up knowing something was going on. But it was just a pup, nothing it could do. I admit that it was quite the climb up for a young boy to make. ‘Quite the little climber, aren’t you? How old are you, boy?’
The dark brown haired boy that clearly sticks out as a stark boy stares at me while his hand grabs my wrist when answering, ‘Ten…’
My mind fills with the thought of how long ago it has been since I was ten. The thought of a young boy with a life ahead of him to be the Warden of the North, joining the Night’s Watch like most if not half of the Starks have done over the centuries. The idea of a ten year old boy telling others about us cross my mind, wondering how many would believe him if he told anyone. ‘Ten?’
I slowly let my hand go of his shirt and he does the same, placing his hand on the other side of the stone window as the wind is blowing in being up so high in the tower. My eyes go to Cersei who looks like she is about to roar in a fury just like us, Lannister Lions and Lionesses do. I knew right away what the right thing is to do in order for Cersei and me to continue loving each other without the fear of discovery, even by a child.
‘The things I do for love.’
Without even looking at the boy, keeping my eyes on Cersei, I used my strength to push his chest, causing him to fall out of the high broken tower window to his death. I hear his body fall to the ground and his little pup giving out whines in the hopes that his whines will bring someone to help.
Cersei and I knew we had to go before anyone discovered us within the broken tower. We both get dress and leave before a living soul could witness to what was done to the ten year old boy. But the boy survived, living after that terrible fall. Cersei and I were both silently stunned when Tyrion told us that the boy would live.
And now here I am in this same tower but instead we are here to protect the oldest Stark daughter from these dead fuckers. I imagine my father would be rolling in his crypt if he knew Tyrion and I ended up back at Winterfell once again. However there is nothing left of him but ashes after the Sept was blown by the wildfire.
We keep on running until a strange sort of noise occurs from outside the broken tower. I see there is a portion of the wall gone that can be seen outside. I go over to see what is going on outside. And when I do, I see two dragons flying down toward the grounds of Winterfell.
“Get down!” I immediately scream. Everyone does so when the larger dragon is forcing the other dragon out of the sky to the ground when its talons release it just above the broken tower.
We all move when feeling the entire tower shake down to the roots in a dragon crashing to the ground. I see rocks crackling like ice when stepped on with more weight than it can within. The Hound and Theon Greyjoy protect the Stark girl from any rocks that come down from above. Brienne cries out in pain of some rocks hitting her backside hard. She is wearing armor but that is not enough to protect her from the agony she feels.
I help Brienne get to her feet when she struggles to stand while Theon checks to make sure the stark girl is alright. I notice the portion of the wall is larger than before that several of us look to see what is happening now. I see the dragon that crashed landed on the ground gives an unsettling roar, struggling to even get up. It is almost like does not want to fight anymore.
Then I recall the Desert Fox said one of the dragons was killed by that dead king then transformed it into what the other things are fighting with him. The Dragon Queen is hovering in the air above the fallen dragon, almost like she is in sorrow of what has happened to her other dragon. I remember some call her the mother of dragons. I know that look anywhere on her face. It is the look of sorrow that a mother lost her child, even if her child is a dragon.
Suddenly I see the Night King walking directly for the dead dragon, ready to use the dead dragon again and again. A down dragon should be a dead dragon but I do not believe that. This dragon can still be used because it is already dead. It can still do serious damage on the battlefield if he was to let loose on the ground instead of the skies. He will keep using it until there is truly nothing left to use.
The larger of the two dragons flies closer to the ground, as if the beast has no worries of the Night King killing this dragon due to its armor covering its entire underbelly and front chest. The dead king stops walking when he sees the Dragon Queen just above him. The larger dragon flaps its leathery wings, hovering above the dead ruler. The others are telling me to go. I cannot look away though. I see almost a smirk on the cold, frozen face of the dead king glaring right at the Mad King’s daughter.
I see the look on the Dragon Queen’s face. I have seen that look several times before. It is the look of madness I saw in her father before he wanted someone to be burned alive because the voices in his head told him to. I start to feel like I am going into madness when the image of the Dragon Queen goes to the Mad King on the back of the dragon then back to the Dragon Queen.
I take a step back in horror when hearing the voice of the mad King Aerys come out of the Dragon Queen’s mouth. I feel like I am back in the throne room of the Red keep hearing his maddening voice screaming, “You killed my child! He was my child and now no power you have can save you from the fire!! I will burn all of you!!! You have nothing left but your death!!!! You will burn!!”
The Mad King’s voice roars out of the Dragon Queen, unleashing all madness to the Night King as the entire burning battlefield is blazing behind the Mad King’s daughter and her mighty beast. They both roar right at the dead king before the dragon inhales, ready for the word to burn the Night King away to ash, becoming a part of the snowy grounds of the ruined Winterfell.
Before I could see what happens next, I am dragged away and up the stairs when white walkers are crawling to us. The Desert Fox, Jorah Mormont and the blonde haired man and the few men of the Night’s Watch with them are fighting some of them off. I see a white walker throws a dagger at Jorah Mormont. The blonde haired man impressively catches and throws the dagger back; the dagger goes into the forehead of the white walker. But the dagger does not kill it because it is not made of valyrian steel.
“Where did you learn to do that?” Jorah Mormont asks the blonde hair man when he finishes the job of killing that same white walker.
The Desert Fox holds off three dead men saying, “Learned by me. You taught William well before we foxes came across him to teach him a few other things.”
A dead man grabs the man named William by the throat, trying to choke him. He knees the dead man, delivers a right hook then breaks off the entire arm of the dead man. He literally uses the arm to hit the dead man over and over again. Bronn laughs at the man using the arm to fight before he finally kills that one armed white walker for good.
“He knocked that dead man to the ground with his own arm just like I once did with your own hand. I love these new warriors, Jaime.” Bronn says just before jumping into the fight with them like it is a festival of some kind for him.
The Hound bashes the heads in of the ones that dare to come at him. The Hound breaks off a portion of the arrow in his shoulder then uses it to stab one of the white walkers in the eye, killing it. The Hound kicks one back and it knocks a few others down in the process. One is about to hack at the Hound but Podrick joins in on the fight, saving the Hound.
Podrick does surprisingly well on his own compared to the training he has had with Brienne in the training yard. Podrick fends off a few more as do the few men left of the Nights Watch. But there is becoming too many for them to try to fight all together and I can hear the stones almost moan in the weight building in the tower. The Desert Fox does a spinning kick, fully taking the head off of another. Then he sees we are still here.
“What the fuck are you still doing here?! Get to the fucking top of the tower now!” The Desert Fox screams at us.
It is just Brienne, Sansa, Theon and me now when we do not hesitate this time in listening to the Desert Fox. We going up and finally reach the top of the broken tower. The exact spot where I pushed the young boy, Bran Stark out the window, it is exactly as I remember it was but with more snow filling the crumbled room of the tower.
I go to that very window and look down to see there are white walkers starting to fill the whole area surrounding the tower. There is nowhere to go for us. We cannot go back down or up any further. There is nowhere else to go. We are nothing but sitting ducks now. What in the seven hells were those foxes thinking in bringing us up here?
Out of nowhere, I see Bronn, Podrick, The Hound, Jorah, William, Desert Fox and remaining few of the Night’s Watch let out screams in jumping out of the large portion of the tower. They tumble down to the ground, landing hard on their backs, stomachs or sides while the Desert Fox manages to land on his feet from the fall. William helps Jorah up when he struggles to stand when I hear the growling sound of wights coming from the large portion space they just jumped out of.
Their heads look up to see the dead jump out in order to chase after them. They all bolt away from the broken tower knowing the dead will follow them and they will not come after us. I look to everyone else in relief that we are safe temporarily. And now, waiting is all we can do until we can get out of the tower then head to the encampment where the last line of army defense is.
Daenerys’s POV
Drogon slams right into him before the deliverance blue flames came within reaching distance of Rhaegal and Jon. Drogon digs his claws into him then extending his neck toward the Night King, snapping his jaws at him repeatedly in a fury, knowing the Night King has claimed his dragon brother. The Night King tries to lean away from the jaws of Drogon but Drogon reaches just enough that his teeth grab a hold of his armor.
Drogon rips him off of Dead Viserion’s back then throws him into the air, opening his mouth ready to eat him whole but Viserion uses his wing to knock the Night King away from the snapping jaws of Drogon. Viserion bites at Drogon while the Night King falls into the flamed battlefield below. Drogon swings Dead Viserion through the air and I see how fast we are getting to the ground.
I lean up to let Drogon know to let go. Drogon pulls up; his talons let Dead Viserion go. Viserion plummets down until his body slams right down into other remains of Winterfell. Dead Viserion’s landing destroys a large portion of what once was unharmed from the battle. Viserion give an unsettling roar of his landing on the ground, not even wanting to get up and continue fighting just like someone who has been enslaved their whole life with a collar on their neck.
Suddenly I see the Night King walking directly for Dead Viserion, ready to use him until there truly is nothing left of him to use. I cannot allow the Night King to use him any further than he already has. I fly Drogon closer to the ground knowing that I have no worry of the Night King killing Drogon with another ice spear due to his armor.
The Night King stops when he sees I am just above him. Drogon flaps his wings, hovering above the Night King and his fallen dragon brother. I see the Night King almost has a smirk on his cold, frozen face when glaring right at me. I only have one thing to say to this ice creature below me.
“You killed my child! He was my child and now no power you have can save you from the fire! You have nothing left but your death! You will burn!” I unleash to the Night King as the entire burning battlefield is blazing behind me and Drogon roars right at the Night King before he inhales, ready for my word to burn the Night King away.
The Night King seems to ignore me when he is about to take a step up on Dead Viserion, not feeling the power of my threat. The Night King takes his seat on Viserion’s back. I hold my head up ready to yell the word, gripping onto Drogon’s horns when Dead Viserion lifts up his head and Drogon extends it forward when I scream, “Dracarys!!”
He unleashes his flames as does Dead Viserion. Their flames collide, bringing forth a massive blast that brightens up all of Winterfell. Their flame attack struggles back and forward almost like a fight of which dragon has the stronger flame. However they appear to be equally matched until Dead Viserion manages to take flight with his damaged wings and uses his tail to send Drogon and I across the sky, stopping the attack.
I cry out in nearly losing my seat while Drogon circles back around to see Dead Viserion at the same level in the sky as us once we recollect ourselves. Drogon roars at Dead Viserion in playing dirty. Dead Viserion flies right for us when suddenly a spinning hammer socks Viserion right in the jaw and an ice spear sends the Night King off of the dragon’s back. He falls to the ground while Dead Viserion groans while pieces of his jaw and the hammer plummets to the ground. He hovers stunned in what just happened.
My eyes go around wondering where that hammer came from. I see it is one of the foxes on the rooftop of the Winterfell. The fox gives out a joyous laughter screaming, “I just threw a hammer at a dragon! I love my life!”
Dead Viserion turns his attention to the fox and the fox stops cheering to know he is dead meat when shouting, “Seven Hells!”
He starts screaming for his life like a little girl when I realize he is tricking Dead Viserion to come for him. I wonder what the trick is when Dead Viserion gets closer to him until the fox shouts, “Gotcha!”
I am just as confused as Dead Viserion when Rhaegal dives down, striking Dead Viserion. Rhaegal drives the dead dragon through the kitchen, bell tower and stables. Rhaegal smashes Dead Viserion back into the ground then hovers above him while Wight Viserion lets out another unnatural roar. Jon leans up in his seat unharmed in smashing the dead dragon through his own home castle. I see debris raining down and crushing anything and anyone on the ground below.
The fox does a dance in joy of what he did to help out and jumps off the roof, making his way down like the building and ruins of the castle is a playground. He flips off the railing then lands on the snowy ground safely. He runs over and grabs his hammer ready for another round with one of the wights on the ground. The Wights start walking toward him also ready to fight.
My attention goes back over to Rhaegal and Jon who is trying to keep Dead Viserion on the ground. However the menacing blue eyes narrow at something on the ground and I look that direction to what got its attention. I see it is the Winter Fox on her black horse charging toward the dead dragon. I am shocked that they are going head to head with a dragon.
He breathes blue fire yet somehow the Winter Fox blocks it with a shield. But she falls off her horse. He fires again but the Winter Fox moves back to be out of the way of his mighty fire. I see her carry the shield large enough for her to hide behind when he delivers his flames upon her and in her other hand is a long sword.
Dead Viserion advances forward at the Winter Fox, breathing fire. The shield protects her from his flames but he snaps at her. Jon cries out in worry for the Winter Fox. I no longer see the Winter Fox while Dead Viserion searches for her among the rumble on the ground. Then the Winter Fox appears like a trickster, striking the dragon’s head with her long sword. Dead Viserion grunts in anger that he was hit.
Dead Viserion snaps at her with his jaws, forcing her back. Dead Viserion brings his head up then breathes fire surrounding the Winter Fox. The fire is spreading all across the ground of anything that can easily catch fire. I notice there is a wooden barrel that the Winter Fox kicks forward to the dead dragon. And a sudden high pitch hissing noises comes from the barrel when stops in front of Viserion.
The barrel explodes with orange red flames of anger against the dead dragon, managing to knock him back a little. But I fear this will only anger it more and to finish her off. The Winter Fox remains where she is standing when Jon flies in on Rhaegal, using his own tail to send Dead Viserion back just like he did with me earlier.
Dead Viserion is knocked to the ground again but he is not staying down. I fear he never will. I am filled with sadness that I cannot have my Viserion back. Before any of us could do anything to him, Dead Viserion swiftly acts in taking off into the skies, retreating. I place my arm above my eyes to see my slaved child disappear into the storm clouds above. I contain my sobs of what has happened to him. However I will free him from his enslavement by killing all of the dead or just the Night King once and for all.
My eyes go to the other Wight Walkers making their way into the halls of Winterfell left standing. I begin to wonder if dragonfire will kill these kind of white walkers compared to the other corpses easily killed on the battlefield by fire. It is time to find out if dragonfire will kill them or not. Drogon lands on the ground before the remaining halls of Winterfell when they are inside.
Drogon leans his head close to one of the few windows in the hall and I see something has his attention. I see his eyes narrow onto something inside. It is those wights. I smile knowing I can unleash everything upon them.
“Dracarys!”
Drogon breathes fire and the flames engulf through the window and blow out stone walls, killing anything in its path. I see enough in the wreckage that the wights are trying to run from the flames but some of them are not so lucky when bursting into pieces of ice dying. In unison, I guide Drogon in the direction of where they are running while I look back to see Rhaegal land on the ground. Jon makes his way to the ground, off Rhaegal’s back. I see he wants to join the fight with the Winter Fox.
My eyes see the Night King is standing across from the Winter Fox. They both go right for each other with their weapons. The Winter Fox against the Night King; the Night King is handled while Drogon and I continue burning any more of the dead within Winterfell.
Jon’s POV
Rhaegal and I look to one another as I tell him, “Please go protect Bran and Arya. They need you right now. Go and please be careful.”
Rhaegal gives a growl to me as if responding yes. I step far away enough to watch Rhaegal lift himself up into the skies. He flies over the ongoing battle happening all outside the rumble of Winterfell. I see all of Westeros fighting together as one real army. It is honesty astonishing to see. I do not know how this was accomplished but to see it is something entirely.
I see several Unsullied using their spears to kill white walkers while the Dothraki use their swords or shooting arrows with their brutal yet sport horseback riding skills. They show some of the best riders unlike others I have seen. I see Tormund fight back to back with the young woman, Meera and those remaining of the Children of the Forest.
I draw Long Claw ready to join the fight however my fight is with the Night King. I turn around to see the Night King facing off against the Winter Fox again. She cuts several back flips repeatedly to dodge his attacks from his ice spear. He switches up his speed to throw her off. However it does not work given she is still withholding her own just like she did on dragon back.
I smile to see he is giving a frontal assault in a poor attempt to finish her since she is keeping him from hunting Bran and Arya. He does knock her weapons away. She keeps on fighting with her hands and her surroundings against him, not staying down. He does knock her down many times but she never stays down. She gets up because she knows that if he walks away from here, he will get to Bran and Arya as soon as he possible can.
Then I feel a chill from behind that I turn around with Long Claw in front of my face. Long Claw stops an ice spear from getting to my head. I see it is one of the Wights I struggled against at Hardhome. This wight is not surprised that I blocked his attack unlike the one from Hardhome. I move out of the way when he tries to slash at me.
He keeps hounding on me with attacks but I dodge each other then duck under his swing. The wight swings while I weave to dodge or block several more swift attacks. I maneuver around the wight then swing Long Claw right through his rib cage, causing the wight to explode to ice pieces all over the ground before me. I grin in getting one of them since I know it will kill off any of the dead this one created.
Suddenly I feel something grab my wrist and hand holding Long Claw. I turn to see it is the Night King himself then shoves his foot against my chest. I feel myself flying through the air and landing hard on the ground. I feel the air forced out of my chest from the landing impact. I place my arm around my rib cage in the pain spreading through my body. I struggle to stand and get my breathe knowing the Night King must be coming for me.
But to my surprise, he is not. He starts swinging at the Winter Fox with Long Claw. She manages to swiftly move out of the way of Long Claw. She keeps it up and from what I know about her, she already has a trick up her sleeve against him. I get to my feet, making my way back over to them. The Night King spots me right away, reversing his fighting style against her. I gasp in horror when Long Claw is above her head coming down.
Although, the Winter Fox draws her axes and Long Claw stops just an inch from her eye. She ducks down and spins around him. She slashes her axes at him several times but Long Claw is giving a steel song each time the valyrian steels met one another. He fends off her blows until he grabs her by the throat and forcefully slams her against the wall. The sound of the whole wall cracks is sickening when he shoves her against the wall over and over again; possibly killed the Winter Fox on impact in her axes dropping to her feet.
I feel an overwhelming fear and awful pain when he lifts her up against the cracked wall driving Long Claw through her stomach. I hear the end of my sword pierce right through her into the cracked wall, impaling the Winter Fox. She wraps her gloved hands around the blade of Long Claw in complete shock, gasping of what happened. The Night King turns and leaves her dead when I see her body go limb.
“No!!!” I yell in anger as does Daenerys seeing what happened while Drogon stops breathing fire and cries out.
I feel an anger boiling inside me as everything in me becomes hallow before my eyes search for any weapon to kill him. I see a long sword made with common steel and dragon glass by my feet. I grab it and charge at him. I am held off by one of his Wights blocking my attack in their ice spear colliding against the black sword. The Wight is not surprised that my sword blocks his attack. I am circled by four of them. One of them comes at me while the Night King watches.
I kill off another one of the Wights rather quickly while I see the impaled body of the Winter Fox out of the corner of my eye. There is no way she is dead; she can’t be. She survived a stab to the chest earlier on dragon back. She can do it again. But she remains motionless, a hanging corpse. I feel a heavy weight in my chest that she is truly dead when I raise my sword about to deliver a final blow when the tip of the sword pierces the head of a Wight about to kill me from behind.
I struggle with the final two as I am kicked and smashed down to the ground close to the Winter Fox. My eyes go up to her; there is still no sign of life from her. The Wights do not come toward me as if the Night King is prolonging my death in some manner. I take my chance in standing in front of the Winter Fox, placing my right hand on her shoulder hoping she is alive. But I feel no heartbeat or warmth from her. There’s nothing left of her except for the Night King to use her body as part of the dead army.
I cry out to her, “Winter Fox!”
I stop the second I hear footsteps approach me from behind. I put the black sword in front of me, stabbing another one of the wights just a second before it could kill me. The wight shatters into ice pieces as the Night King steps forward in the fact that more of his ice men are being killed. Then an unsettling ice tone coming from the Night King fills the air and the remaining two stop attacking. I get to my feet with both hands on the handle of the black sword.
The Night King charges, ready to take me out for good. His piercing blue eyes come right at me almost like blue flames. He nearly gets me in the chest with the ice spear but I maneuver the black sword to stop the ice spear from reaching my gut. I spin around and start stepping back to avoid his attacks. I do a quick turn then bash the end of the heart pommel into his face.
The Night King is surprised that I even touched him. Then he punches me, sending me flying back. I fall onto my stomach side. The Night King thrusts his ice spear at me when I grab the shield the Winter Fox used against Dead Viserion, blocking his swift attack. I get to my feet using what chance I have, striking at him.
We are attacking, throwing each other around as we are drenched in snow and mud. I begin to wear down in his ferocious attacks like he is a wolf himself coming at me. I hear Daenerys cry out for me when the Night King takes me by the throat of my shirt ready to kill me or worse, transform me into a Wight as he extends his hand toward my face.
