LAST TIME on Avenge the Dead Fields…
Rayon and Zeiss were at odds in the Krau Tower after the fall and the recreation. An Ichor sprung out from the shadows and Zeiss charged up ready to fight back.
HOWEVER… This story picks up in the middle and will be told through many eyes.

Supreme Leader was so beautiful. Long powder blue hair - curled with pins of gold and silver running down their back. They were neither male nor female as all supreme leaders were cut from a hemophrodatic lineage. Their eyes were crystals of pink and skin was bronze - perfectly soft.
Deimare was in the presence of their grace. She would not dare touch her, but she was in reaching distance. Who didn’t love the Supreme Leader with their whole heart. Crazy people of course! And crazy people were sent rightfully to labour camps, beyond The Void.
The Supreme Leader wore a large headdress and a silver mask that covered the upper portion of their face. There were green etches and symbols in the mask. They wore a regal version of the State’s maroon armour which was like a dragons.
The State was a horrible name. Imagine this, The Grand Empire of Krau! If Deimare was by their side then everything would be perfect. But she was so close to her. The Supreme Leader reached down to touch her breast. Her hand went through her chest and into her heart. Pulse.
Deimare woke up upon the ground of the common meeting room. She was just talking to Rayon and Zeiss. Her second in command, Aarhone, was shaking her awake. There were streaks of red blood wetting her blonde hair. Aarhone put a cloth on Deimare’s head to stop the flow.
Aarhone was a short dark skinned girl with long light brown hair in a ponytail and the same hue of eyes - almost like clay.
“The prisoners have escaped…” Deimare said, “damn I really messed up…”
“We can’t pursue them like this…” Aarhone said, “We have lost too many soldiers in the ichor attack… I’m so confused as to why they are here in the outer lands… I thought they were only in Centekrau…”
“I think it has something to do with the alien… soul dancer, huh?” Deimare said.
“We have to get the alien… before it gets past the Void…” Aarhone said helping Deimare up. They met eyes and Deimare gave her a determined smile which caught her off guard.

Zeiss wore warmer clothing - thermals, a large hooded coat, brown boots that he stole from the compound. He was wary about the appearance of the ichor. That thing… It was a mindless killing machine. Zeiss remembered the bits of bowel and bone smeared on the floor.
Rayon had discarded her clothing and had the cabbage like covering.
“Don’t you feel cold Rayon?” Zeiss asked.
“Cold?” She said as if the question did not make sense to her.
“Never mind.. We need to get to Krau… My daughter is in an orphanage there…” he said walking through the forest. The moss on the ground was frosted from the morning chill.
The cold was a good sign that they were getting close to the icy landscape of Krau.
“We can do this together,” Rayon smiled.
“You have my back… and I have yours…” Zeiss smiled back. He felt like he had a companion that he could rely on even though she was rather strange.
Rayon had this dark feeling in the pit of her chest. It was if she wanted to take something and squeeze it. She looked at Zeiss intently - specifically his right eye - the one she had planted her egg into. That egg was precious and Zeiss was an equally precious incubator.
“Other than your daughter… what of your mate or parents?” Rayon asked.
“I don’t really talk about her… and my parents died a long time ago…” he said. Those words stung at the back of his throat.
“I need to get back to my family… I need to find them and we can escape to a safe place…” she said, “My planet is long lost… But maybe we can share a world with you in harmony…”
Zeiss smiled, “You are welcome to join me as we leave this country… but first we need to find our families…”
They walked through the forest and talked like old friends.
