Have you ever thought of travelling through time? If you imagine that you can travel to the past and be a hero. That is an interesting thought. Today, I am going to tell you a story of a boy, Henry who has an unusual life because of going to the past.
On 4th April, 3367, our main character, was born. His parents were so happy and they celebrated his first birthday. “Um…what should we call him?” his father asked. His mother replied, “Let’s call him Henry because 2000 years ago, a kind king, Henry IV was born. I want my son to be as great and kind as him too.” They agreed the name “Henry” so our main character is called Henry.
6 years later, Henry was cute, obedient and intelligent. He always gets full marks in Maths and Computer. His parents were proud of him. When he was 12 years old, his parents decided to tell him the story of their forefather. “Father, where are we going?” asked Henry. “Meet our forefather’s saviour.” replied his father. “How could this be possible?” wondered Henry. His parents brought him to the forest near their home. It was at night. The wind was blowing loudly and the birds were gone. The trees were dead and Henry could feel that something was looking at him. “It is so creepy. I am so scared.” said Henry, as he was shaking. “Be brave, my dear. You shouldn’t be afraid to meet your forefather’s saviour.” said his mother. Suddenly, it was so foggy and they couldn’t find their way. “If you obey your thoughts in your mind and be hopeful, you won’t get lost or feel lost. Please bring us to our forefather’s saviour, Henry,” suggested his father. Henry shook his head with fear and replied, “I don’t belong here and I am not going anywhere unless you tell me the route. I will get lost if you don't tell me,” His mother said, “You are right. Sometimes we need to know how to get lost and find the way out by ourselves. Get lost and we will come with you.” Just then, his father and mother disappeared in the fog. At that moment, Henry was alone in the mystery forest. Just then, the fog was blown away. Henry could see the environment clearly. However, his parents were no longer there. Henry was lonely and he ran away. He ran as fast and as long as he could. Finally, he was exhausted and stopped at a rectangular stone. It is a tubtone. On it, it was written,” Henry Nithercott (Sir Walter Blount), whas deed in the yeer of oure Lord MCCCCIII, for he yaf his lyf to save and kepen the persone of the ful myghty Kyng Henry the Ferthe.” Henry was shocked because” Henry Nithercott” is his name. How did that man die? He wondered. He spoke to himself, “What does it mean?” His parents appeared behind him suddenly and replied, “It means: ’Henry Nithercott(Sir Walter Blount) 1348-1403 Died because of protecting Great King Henry IV of England’ I think he is a brave man. King Henry IV is actually our forefather. He was a great king.” Henry was shocked and he hugged his parents. He was so curious about what happened that time. Why would he die? Thought Henry.
The days after, Henry went to visit the tubtone every morning, without going to there with his parents. Not even telling them. He was very interested in the fact in the past and he will want to find out. However, he wouldn’t know that he would regret this.
He goes to different libraries every day after school, trying to learn more about Sir Walter Blount. He even searches the Internet to find some information about him. Sir Walter Blount was a brave knight. In 1403, he tried to save the King and he was killed. Henry will feel sorry for him and he will swear himself to protect King Henry IV and the brave Sir Walter Blount. He was so interested in them. Therefore, he got a high mark in the History Exam, which made his parents felt proud. His parents were so curious because Henry always goes to home late.
One day, they decided to track him and discovered his secret. Henry was finding out about Sir Walter Blount and Henry IV again. His parents were furious for what he had done. They picked Henry up for school for a month and locked him in his room after school although Henry begged them to let him go. His mother shouted angrily, ”I am so happy that you always go to learn History by yourself, but you shouldn’t waste your time on that and do your homework so late! We can’t change the things that happened in the past.” “I just want to learn about history. I didn’t do anything wrong.” Complained Henry. His father’s face grew red and said, “You are lying. How dare you go to the library without telling us. You are so disappointing. How can you improve? Tell us! Now!” Henry was shaking and broke out with a cold sweat. His mind was blank and he was on pins and needles. “Henry!”his mother demanded. Henry wanted to say something, but he got tongue tied. His parents were glaring at him. At last, he said,” I am so sorry. To improve, I can message you before I go anywhere after school. Also, I can go to the library once a week, not every day. I promise I won’t do that again.” After listening to his words, his parents nodded.
When Henry was 55, a great scientist invented a Time Machine that can travel through the past, present and future. It can also travel through places. Luckily, the scientist was Henry’s friend. His friend decided to let him travel to the past for free. Henry was so excited because he would be the first one to do a miracle. The Time Machine was amazing. It is so beautiful and useful. It had many daily necessities. However, the most special is, this Time Machine can be invisible and zoom in or out. It can be put on Henry’s hand or as big as a car. Henry was so excited. He pressed the button: ”Confirm: go to 1403, Battle of Britain, England.”
Then, the Time Machine Battle of Shrewsbury in Shropshire, England. Henry could feel that the time machine was spinning very quickly. The speed was about 800 billion RPM. Henry saw a black and he fainted. Two seconds later, he found himself floating on his body. He was dead. His soul saw that. The spirit screamed with fear because he saw his own body was smashed into pieces. Oh no! Our dear main character was dead. No, I should add a miracle.
Henry floated up and up. He passed through a huge tunnel. Finally, he arrived in heaven. The God asked him,” Are you sure to continue your adventure? You would regret it.” Henry asked,” but I am dead. How can I continue the adventure?” The God tapped on his shoulder and replied, “I can make you relive because I was touched that you tried your best to travel through time. However, will you continue your adventure even though you know that you will regret it?”
“ Yes, I will continue my adventure. Thank you for making me relive again. May I tell others about you?” said Henry excitedly. The God signed and whispered, “ You will forget anything about you being a spirit after you return to your body.” Henry prostratedhimself before God and said gratefully, “Your Eternal Majesty, thank you very much for your help.” The God smiled, but Henry could sense that the God was so unhappy.
Then, Henry found himself floating down slowly, in the universe. Something was pulling him back to his body. After that, he stopped and watched his body be fixed. A golden person who looked like himself, floated into his broken body. Then, the golden person disappeared and a golden light was scanning the broken body. The body pieces stuck together tightly. Henry was surprised. He flew back to his body and then he fainted again.
Although he fainted, his soul, spirit and the new body were trying to group and communicate together. His soul greeted, “ Hi, everyone. I am Henry Soul. Are you Henry spirit and you are Henry body?” His body replied, “ Yes, what did God say? Can we group into one now?” His spirit said, ” The God said Henry will regret forever for what he had done. Should we go back?” His soul said, ”However, Henry already decided to go to the past. No one can stop him. Also, we cannot change the future or the past. The things that are supposed to be happening have already happened.” “ Oh! I have an idea.” said Henry body, ” What if I don’t listen to Henry and control him to go back to our time?” “ Ah-ha. That is the best idea. Let’s group now.” They cheered together and they grouped. However, they didn’t know that their conversation would be deleted in their mind and they must obey Henry. Henry's heart was listening to their conversation and deleted their thoughts and memories.
After their conversation, Henry woke up all of a sudden. He gasped and he was heaving. He looked around and the Time Machine was still spinning quickly. However, he was not dizzy. He body became strong and he went to a room. It shows that he needs 2020 minutes. That means he needs around 34 hours to arrive to there. He signed, ”I am very excited that I can meet my forefather.” Then, he went to the library. The library was so beautiful and huge. However, Henry just went to the dangerous room. Actually, he had many things to do. He needed to send messages to the Earth. He stopped in front of a huge machine. It is full of green light. He walked the stairs and he jumped into the machine. Then, an extremely huge power shoot into Henry’s head with a flash electricity.
Henry could feel a pain. He roared. 15 minutes later, the machine released Henry. He fell on the floor. Then, he stood up and walked through the machine. Behind the machine, it was a big river. Henry put his legs on the river. Then he began to walk. He was walking on the river. That was so unusual. At the end of the river, there was a Past Machine and a Future Machine. They could help Henry to learn about the time he travelled because he mustn’t let others to know that he was a time traveller, except for the people from his time and future.
He sat on a sit from the Past Machine. Then, his clothes became a 14th century knight costume. Henry was shocked because he was wearing Sir Walter Blount’s costume. The days after, he learned the Middle English, learned how to fight and to greet the king. He only had half an hour to prepare. He was nervous.
Time flies, Henry fell from the flying Time Machine. He hit the floor hardly. Just then a soldier saw him and asked, "Sir Walter Blount, how farest-thow? Nedeth the help?" Henry replied, “ Thank you, but I am fine.” The soldier was shocked and he didn’t understand. Henry realised that and replied again, "Gramercy, but I am in good poynt." Henry was curious that the soldiers were calling him ‘Sir Walter Blount’ Henry found himself landing in a battle.
Just then, Henry got a message: King Henry IV was in danger because the enemy would attack him. Henry rode a horse to the castle quickly and said to Henry IV in Middle English, “Your Majesty, please follow me.” Henry IV was curious and asked, “Why? Where do you want me to go?” Henry said, “I have no time to explain. The enemies are near. Please come with me.” Henry IV and Henry ran as fast as they could. Unfortunately, they have no way to escape. All the exit were full of enemies. Only a step — to open to door and the Henries would be defeated and killed. “We have no more time now. Please wear my clothes and I will wear yours, “ Henry IV was shocked and said, “You want to use your life to exchange my life? No, let’s hide together. Here is the secret room.” Henry IV opened a door under the bed. Henry thought it was a good idea. However, he said to the King, “No, they can’t find you and they will continue to search for you. You will be found one day.” Henry wore King Henry’s costume and added, “Therefore, I represent you. If I am killed, they will think you are defeated and you can escape. One day, you can create your Army and fight against them. “ Henry the King hid under the bed, standing in the secret room. He hugged Henry and said, “I will never forget you, Walter Blount. You are saving my life.” Henry was nervous and replied, “Remember, my real name is Henry Nithercott. You will be fine and the enemies to arrive here soon.” “Please, run.” begged Henry. Henry IV didn’t run and escape. Instead, he continued to hide under the bed and saw the enemies dash off the room.
“Thank God, I am hidding.” the King said in his mind. Poor Henry, he needed to fight against around thirty strong man. However, he cheered himself up and said in his mind, “Henry, you can do it. All the effort is worthwhile. The King is save and everything is fine. Although you may die here, your name will be remembered. Now, try your best to kill them as many as you can. God, mum and dad, please give me power and strength.” Henry became brave and he began to fight against them. Just then, he killed four people. Unfortunately, his back was cut and it was bleeding. Henry could feel a pain. However, he didn’t stop. The Henry who was under the bed saw everything. Tears welled up from the King’s eyes. Henry IV could feel a strong mind of Henry — a strong belief. Henry stood up and continued to fight. Unfortunately, his belly was hit by an arrow. Henry fell down and he couldn’t stand up. He continued to fight while lying down on the floor. Then, he discovered that the arrow was poisoned. He could feel a strong pain and he fainted.
The enemies cheered, “ Hooray, hooray. We won.” However, one person was frustrated. It was King Henry. He saw all the effort from Henry. However, the result is faint and death. “No, Henry. Wake up. Please. I beg you. I am so sorry that I asked you too many questions. You shouldn’t die,” thought King Henry. While everyone reacted their feeling of Henry’s faint, Henry saw his mother and his father. They said, “Henry, our dear son. You are kind and brave. Fight them while they are cheering. Don’t disappoint the King. We can save you and give you strength.” Henry’s scar was cured and he couldn’t feel any pain. Henry woke up and roared. All enemies were shocked and they were puzzled. Why it seems like he didn’t feel anything even he gets hurt? They saw the arrow and the scar. However, they didn’t know that Henry couldn’t feel the pain because of the love from his parents. Henry could feel a strong power growing from his body, making him feel powerful. He fought the enemies and he killed them all. King Henry was proud of him and he smiled. However, the second group of enemies came after. This time, Henry was exhausted and he was killed by a man using a sword. The sword cut his neck and Henry was dead. He fell down and everyone cheered. King Henry saw it and he began to run. He ran to the secret room and he lived in the secret room for three days.
Later, one of his soldiers came and yelled, “Is anybody here? Any survivors?” The King ran to the secret room entrance and he came out under the bed. The soldier was shocked and he heaved a sigh of relief. Henry the King was brought to a saver place. Few days later, they fought against the enemies and they won. Henry IV continued to be the King. He was a great King after. However, he wouldn’t forget Henry’s death and his efforts.
Two days later, Henry’s dead body was put underground. Everyone was mourning him for three days. He used his strength and bravery to save the King. “You can rest now, my saviour. The battle was ended. I appreciate all your efforts. You can have a deep sleep in this beautiful nature. The birds are singing for you. The butterflies are dancing and the flowers bloom for you. Go to rest and have your deep sleep. I will never forget you, my hero,” said the King. However, he didn’t know that Henry was from the future.
Our main character, Henry, was dead. His life was ended. However, his story never ends. He found himself floating on his body and his soul said, “Henry body, thank you for representing us to fight them. Have a good rest, my dear old friend.” The Henry soul floated towards the sky. “Beautiful, what a lovely sight! Why the environment from my time is not as attractive as here?” cried Henry soul. At last, he arrived to the entrance of the Heaven. It was a bright tunnel. “Welcome back, Henry,” said the God. “How was your adventure?” he added. “I fought against the enemy and I was defeated,” answered Henry. “I told you. You will be regret because I know that you would die here and you will never rest,” murmured the God. “What do you mean? I will never rest?” asked Henry, curiously. “Since you died in the past, your soul will wait until 3367. Then, you would born again, travel again and die again. This cycle never ends,” said the God. Henry soul was shocked and he said, “What a long time! How can I wait for that long?” The God replied, “We don’t have time here. Therefore, you don’t need to wait and I will send you back now.”
Henry was sent back to 3367 and his adventure continues forever. He was truly regret and he thought he should listen to the God. He finally understood why the God warned him. However, he was too late. Everything had happened and he couldn’t change it back.
After listening to this story, do you want to travel through time? In my opinion, I believe that it is not a great experience to travel through time and I hope there is no Time Machine in the future. Remember, fate is a circle. No one can escape from it.
