Clary's POV
I sat up on my bed as the first rays of sunshine hit my face. Peeking out of my window at the big orange ball now rising over the rows of trees, I sigh when I look at my phone
6:45
Today is the day I go to a new school, today is the day I begin my life in a new town
Yesterday my famiy and I moved to this town after living in South Africa for ten years because of dad's job, I mean, I understand him but it was a little hard leaving my close friends back in S.A.
I wasn't exactly your typical social or sporty girl, so making friends wasn't somethig I liked to do, I much prefered books and imagination to a thriving social life
Boys were another story
How I was going to make it as a new student when I couldn't even say 'hi' without messing up was a huge mystery
Throwing my sheets off and walked to my closet almost tripping over my suitcase, I picked out a dark blue-almost black- skinny jeans and a light blue striped long sleeved shirt, and matching blue sandals
I can hear the twins running around downstairs
Quickly I run into the bathroom room, taking a quick shower and brushing my teeth, the rush back to my room and throw on my clothes
I sit down infront of my mirror, taking my brown hair out of its bun, straightening it and putting it up in a ponytail
I glance at my pink framed clock and shudder
I hate pink, but I hate being late too too
I grab my backpack before dashing down the stairs to find my mother making breakfast, her blonde hair in a cute french braid
"Morning mama" I give her a kiss, then jump on the island, which earns me a glare from my mother,
I take an apple and start tossing from hand to hand as I pop a bagel into the toaster
"Instead of playing with that apple why don't you try it first" mom says in her english accent, you would think that ten years is enough time to get rid of an accent
I stare at the apple in disgust "Noooo" I take a fork, while sliting my eyes at the apple "One of us must die first"
I stab the apple over and over with the fork screaming 'die you filthy thing', an evil, satisfied grin is plastered on my face as I throw away the unfortunate apple "Mama it didn't work out between us" she shakes her head
"Morning sweetheart" dad walks into the kitchen, giving me a kiss on the forehead and plants a huge kiss on my mom's lips to which she responds immediately
"Poooey get a room" I throw a piece of my ex-apple at them and the split
"That's how you were made" my face immediately changes as I try to push the mental image of my parents out of my head
I swing off the island and pick up my bagel "Shouldn't this be the time of your marraige where you have trust issues and no longer do stuff, you know.....like that" my mom giggles as my dad plants a kiss on her cheek
I immediately turn around and leave grabbing the keys to my new car which I bribed my parents into getting me in order for me to move here, with the feeling that I forgot something
I quickly drive to school, while finishing my bagel on the way
Upon arrival to the school, and after 15 mins driving around lost and discovering that this town is bigger than it seemed, panic began to settle in me
What if I don't make it through this year? What if I get bullied? How am I going to make friends?
Taking a few sprays of breath spray, I took a deep breath and got out of the car,
I took calculated steps into the building noting the group of cheerleaders-i think-giggling next to a group of hot guys
I looked around before finding the office to get my schedule and other stuff
I smiled at the lady at the front desk "Clarissa Harris" I said to her "I'm new here"
She smiled at me, then rummaged through some folders before handing me mine "Here you go Clarissa"
I took them and noted my locker number and combo, then my schedule
For today I had maths-mental yay-, english, chemistry, free time and literature
I took a deep breath and braced myself for the day

I drove into the garage
"Mom i'm home" I yell as I fall onto the couch
"Hey sweetie how was your day, make any friends" she shoved my legs off the couch
I groaned loudly "They hate me mom, I told you this was a bad idea"
"What happened sweetie"
"It was terrible, no-one spoke to me, and this one guy in chemistry class kept glaring at me for no reason, our english teacher has the most annoying voice ever, even worse than Mr. Higgins, during lunch no-one spoke to me, it was terrible" mom laughed softly
"Did you even attempt to talk to anyone?"
"Nope I had my book and avoided eye contact" she burst out in laughter, and I threw the couch cushion at her, groaning
The twins stomped into the living room
"Hey there Clarissa, my darling older sister" Lance said sarcastically, Jackie glared at me beside him
"What wrong with you two?"
"You ditched us with them in the morning"Jackie yelled "We had to deal with their revolting acts for twenty minutes"
Now I remember, I was supposed to take the twins to school, but I was too tired to care and they would get me back anyway
"Yeah I gotta go boost my enthusiasm for tomorrow, yippee" I muttered sarcastically and dragged my lazy, tired butt upstairs and into my room
I threw my backpack to a random corner in my room and crashed onto my bed, as soon as my head touched my pillow, I was out.
