這本書，並不是在特別的時刻寫成的。
它誕生於許多看似無關緊要的日子之中。

像是起床後，還沒決定今天要成為怎樣的人之前；
或是在一場電影結束，燈亮起來，觀眾陸續離席的那段時間。

收錄於書中的，多半是日記與隨筆。內容圍繞著生活本身。城市與自然之間的感受。沒有宏大的主題，也不急著給出答案。對於困惑、遺憾與微小的幸福，如實記錄。

自然經常出現在文字裡。天氣的變化、光線的移動、風的方向，我很喜歡。往往比人的情緒更誠實。

讀到一半停下來也無妨，甚至忘了讀到哪，也不會造成困擾。

因為這些文字，本來就不是寫給誰看，隨手記下罷了。

如果非要說它想做什麼？

大概只是把生活中那些容易被忽略的片刻，好好地存在紙上。
為了不讓它們白白消失。
