It's not just about fawning over gay characters- it's about why and how they're important in their stories. It's about their essential existence to help promote the normalization of queer people in society (no pun intended) itself.

This is for discussion of all queer characters in media- more than just LGBT- and possibly queer characters (not stated explicitly in canon). It's also important to talk about how to write queer characters- the do's and don't's that separate breaking stereotypes and breaking boundaries!
