The Plight of Christian Films
Nicole Armas
#1There are a lot of Christian films out there but to be honest, I find very few of them to be good or done in a way that isn't overly preachy. That's not to say there isn't good films concerning Christianity or stories from the Bible. Some really amazing films I've seen are The Prince of Egypt, The Ten Commandments and The Passion of the Christ but this is met head on by a torrent of awful movies. Do you guys find this to be a problem too?

Yeah, it irks me when they change things from the way they were in the Bible to add ~tension~. As if it isn't tense enough without a love interest or whatever, you know?

@shnuffeluv, Yeah I totally get what you mean! The worst adaptation of a Bible story I have ever seen was Exodus: Gods and Kings. I didn't even make it through the movie since I ended up hating it so much >.<

@Nicole Armas, I haven't seen that one, and I don't think I want to. I just wish they'd either get the Bible story right, or else leave it alone.

@Nicole Armas, Apparently the movie adaptation having to do with Noah was awful as well...my parents told me this, but they didn't need to because I heard the whole movie....so yeah, I don't really trust Hollywood with Biblical adaptations anymore... -____-

@Megumi Akagane, I heard about that movie too. However, there's a new movie called Risen that actually looks good and and has been getting positive reviews so might take a chance and go see it
