以真實事件作為故事開頭為啟發，半真半假參雜其中。
「如果人生是一塊被剪壞的布料，我能不能靠自己的手，縫補出一個家？」
民國八十九年的夏天，玉里的風燥熱得令人窒息。
江玲在親戚家的屋簷下長大，在鄰居的剩菜中成年，她的童年像是一件東拼西湊的百衲衣，沒有一處完整的色彩。當她鼓起勇氣想為人生剪裁出一條「服裝科」的出路時，等來的卻是父親憤怒的咆哮與一地的六合彩殘影。
這是一個關於逃離與尋找的故事。
混亂的課程、被壓縮的專業、以及父親「成年即趕逐」的冷酷通牒，讓十八歲的她不得不背井離鄉。憑藉著高中好友的一絲善意，江玲闖入了繁華卻冷漠的台北。這不只是少女的流浪歷程，更是一段跨越偏見、對抗平庸、並在廢墟中重新設計人生的自我覺醒之路。
