This would be an awesome start to a great urban fantasy. (Even a YA Fantasy).  I read through this  short so fast that I was actually sad that it was over.   I know it's a retrospect (an entree in a diary) but I couldn't help but wait for something to happen, like an awesome kick-start to the plot Lol. 
Still, I have to give this the Like thumbs up. A really good short fict.
