Dang. Interesting story. A few days ago I was out camping and when I woke up(around 6-7ish) I saw the moon moving incredibly quickly in the sky. And it had nothing to do with the clouds, I saw it moving upward and it kept moving really quickly above the tree area(skyline? idk what to call it) in the sky, whereas the clouds were near the top of the sky and I wasn't comparing the moon's movement to them. There was also a star slightly under the moon that also seemed to be moving upward. My friend also seemed to notice it, but by the time they left their tent the moon was near the middle of the sky and part of me thinks it was moving more slowly than it looked due to the clouds moving the opposite direction, so they weren't seeing it the way I had seen it. I think the movement near the skyline/tree area might have looked faster because of the distortion in the sky, the same way the moon looks bigger near the edge of the sky than in the middle. But still, when I searched up "why is the moon moving so quickly" I found nothing. All the answers said that it was impossible or that it just looked like it was moving really quickly compared to the clouds(but I wasn't comparing it to the clouds so that must've not been it) but if you find the Quora page for that question there are a bunch of other people claiming to see the same phenomenon.
