Chills! In my opinion, the scene is unbroken and unconfusing. It's pretty linear and full of reveals that raise so many questions. Who "woke" the dreamer with a whisper? The Gunblade and the scorching hot railway left me with a Neo West genre like Firefly and Star Trek a little. Lots of scientific danger. But how ironic that the eagle's cries (Glock) happen to be the same name as a gun. As the large eagle dives towards the narrator, I felt mixed emotions: fear if it intended harm, and hope if it intended rescue. Sorry for the analysis, haha! I would love to read a longer, detailed version of this.
Rather than saying 'lying down in the middle of a railway' would it not be better to say 'between railroad rails' or some other more descriptive phrase?
