Im agnostic and live in the bible belt. My thoughts on homosexuality and same sex marriage has always been to each their own. However it does get out of hand. I think the government has more important things to worry about. Rape and rape culture, murder (though in some cases i see thst as justified). I also believe we should be rid of the immunity given to foreign diplimats. I could write sn essay on this in the comments if i wasnt so tired
It sadly does get out of hand. Some people only see one side of the story, not caring for the other. To each their own it should be, like I told Ramen, but people get crazy, you know? People get crazy and throw blind accusations onto another side. The pro-homosexuality people accuse innocents, the anti-homosexuality people accuse innocents... it's a cycle, going round n' round seemingly without an end.
And foreign diplomats and celebrities have waaay too much power, more than they could need.
@Jonathan Jas,i have to agree with you. As long as innocents are blamed the circle will continue. Some woukd say its human nature to hate that which we dont understsnd, but i disagree
I am personally a Humanist who is all for gay marriage, but I never heard of priests being arrested or churches being closed because they refuse to marry two people. However, what if the same-sex couple was Catholic. Can they not even be married by people of the same religion?
Also, I do feel there was a lot of people who was DEFINITELY against gay marriage and the LGBTQ community. I know many people, who were gay, get bullied to death in school for coming. Murdered, abused by family members, and much much worse. That is not to say there are people who disagree but aren't against. So I wonder if that just depends on where you live? I was raised Catholic (and is still trying to be forced to be one by my parents) and live in the bible belt. So it be basically Hell on Earth for many homosexuals here.
Do you think that homosexual marriage in terms of legality is a bad thing? Since you know like straight couples can get the government benefits but homosexual marriages can't. Like say in a homosexual relationship one of the partners fall deathly ill, then unless they were married the other person cannot be legally allowed to be responsible or see them?
