1: I love how the chapter is called: "Chapter First" instead of "Chapter One" I don't know why, but it just adds some humor to it.
2: I love the amount of detail already, even in just the first paragraph! "Each step resounded beneath him with a crunch, as the rain drizzled down in pizzicato notes on the glassy puddles below." It's just like: DAYUM
3: Glass rain? That's gotta hurt without this dude's armor lmao
4: God, I just love this worldbuilding. The glass dunes, the different text for the archdemon Aqnyzus, and even what I'm guessing is the telling the protagonist what to do is just...*chef's kiss* immaculate
5: D&D? The dice to attack just sounds so cool.
6: Love the probability Isaac uses to try to figure out how to attack Aqnyzus, then he's just like, "Eh, I'll take my chances with radiant."
7: Of course, the VR player gets hot and is done for the day. Granted, I've never played VR, but my brother jumps around when he plays on the Xbox a lot, and ends up getting quite the workout from it.
8: Ooh...russet...hey, I've heard that word before...oh yeah, that's right! Uncommon name for a color let's go!!!!
9: "...to the way he ate pizza was contrary to the norm." Don't tell me this guy eats pizza crust first!
10: "...turning his life into a string of convoluted rituals and processes, all in the subconscious aim of categorically doing everything the 'right' way." Sounds an awful lot like my dad and brother.
Ah! I ran out of time I gotta go somewhere soon but I will read more and comment more about this later!
I also kinda think the "Chapter First" is pretty cool. And yeah, Gironashi is pretty good with his detail + worldbuilding; it's a strong suit of his.
Thanks for the comment! (I know I'm not even the writer of this book, but I technically still am allowed to say that as a helper, right....? If not, then sorry for butting in 😅)
PS: If Isaac eats pizza starting with the crust, we're ganging up on him for such horrid methods.
@ItsAmelia Aw, thanks for the comment and the read :D
I actually took the "Chapter First" idea from Frank Baum, and his novel "The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus", which really influenced me as a kid. I dunno why, but I really loved the way he titled his chapters, and it stuck with me these years XD
And yeah, definitely took a lot of inspiration from D&D. I play 4E tho, so I'm something of a black sheep :P
...And Isaac and I may, in fact, both eat our pizza crust-first.
Don't crucify me yet, there's a good reason! I always save the best part of my meal for last, the choicest bits and my favourite parts, so for a pizza, it makes sense to start with the crust, which is undeniably the lamest part of the food, and work your way to the center (with a piece of every topping stacked on the last bite)
@Cheeto, Also, thanks Cheeto! :) and yup, you're definitely allowed to be proud of BRYZ, you're the one that's been single-handedly fixing my grammer and tweaking my character interactions XD
@The Yobanashi Girouette, we probably never will, but I will… do, uh, something if I ever have to personally witness such degeneracy. Maybe I’ll put up spoilers of BRYZ or throw pineapples or something, IDK.
@Cheeto, are we talking throwing whole pineapples, or putting pieces of pineapple on my pizza? ... Because I'm one of the pineapple on pizza crowd too XD
(Plz no cursed BRYZ fanart tho X'D I'm already dreading the day someone R34s my poor characters)
@The Yobanashi Girouette, your pizza *degeneracy.* Not *enlightenment,* you foul food-eater. … That has to be the strangest insult I’ve ever made.
But anyway, would you want Chisaac (Charles x Isaac) or Chenshi (Charles x Tenshi) cursed fanart? I don’t ship those cuz they make no sense, but still.
@The Yobanashi Girouette, ItsAlright. I’ll ready up an explanation of the CP Phenomenon that always occurs in your comment sections. And then she, too, shall be enlightened.
It is nearly impossible to post a comment on any one of Gironashi’s comment sections and not have a long thread of replies following in pursuit. This is especially common on BRYZ. You see, there’s a 100% chance that if Gironashi replies to a comment, and I do as well, that the conversation will continue and escalate and possibly switch to something else in a smooth transition (usually the topics are safe to discuss, but rather odd.) The act of jumping from one subject to another in any conversation is dubbed, by an unofficial term… “conversational parkour.” (CP.) And as you can see, almost every comment thread on this story has been affected by CP.
@ItsAmelia, I have no idea why this phenomenon seems to center around me, but I'd definitely believe that by the time BRYZ ends, the comment count will be well into the thousands :3
X'D Thanks. And yup, Celica is basically the comprehensive experience of having a sibling.
One question about the punctuation revisions (thanks, btw!), it seems I still don't really understand some of the rules. I tried pretending the "s don't exist when writing the sentences, but then why don't we capitalize the next word after a !" or ?" ?
@The Yobanashi Girouette, most likely because if you capitalize the next word after a “!” or “?” it indicates a new sentence. And that new sentence would be a fragment.
EX: ”Hey!” He said.
He said. If omitted the first sentence (“Hey!”) we’d be wondering: what did he say?
Meanwhile, “Hey!” he said tends to read as one whole sentence.

...I'mma run away now before I get ganged on.
What kind of... what... who... why...
Who are you?
Eating pizza crust-first? Shame. That's worse than not eating the crust, IMO.
But y'know what, fine, I'm not gonna kill you for it. But I definitely wouldn't want you eating pizza near me, just saying.
Just for that, if we ever meet up, I'm gonna aggressively eat pizza backwards in front of you XD
Maybe I’ll put up spoilers of BRYZ or throw pineapples or something, IDK.
(Oooooo, or cursed BRYZ fanart~!)
...
Because I'm one of the pineapple on pizza crowd too XD

… If that even exists…
Also R34 was NOT what I had in mind. I was thinking… of another type of “cursed.”
And that's good. But also bad. Blursed, I guess.
… That has to be the strangest insult I’ve ever made.
But anyway, would you want Chisaac (Charles x Isaac) or Chenshi (Charles x Tenshi) cursed fanart? I don’t ship those cuz they make no sense, but still.
I can do both~
;)
NO—
Ok ykw fair, that’s good payback.
I’ll be waiting for that fic after new APS is released…
(not)
How did we get here?

How do you escape it?
Ha, that’s a funny question.
There is no escape.
What have I unintentionally started this time...
- “I’m trying to find who asked.” “I’d say you have a brain of reason, but I’m starting to doubt that.” Cecila is now my favorite character.
- “If I’m such perfect protagonist material, why has literally nothing happened in my life?” LMAO
- “Murderhobos” is a word I didn’t even know I needed to hear lol

Sorry, not sure how well this helped.
