What's with all the railroading? In the immortal story a person HAS to confront me about Peru 1821. It HAS to be Peru and It HAS to be 1821. How about you give people some creative liberty instead of forcing the same story onto everyone. Can I choose what drink my character is drinking my lord? Or have you decided that for us also?
@Tenshi no Yami, Cute. Anyway. I criticised those on my psychopath contest because the people who made submissions lacked an understanding of what a psychopath is. They were unprepared and chose to make submissions anyway so my criticism was just. You must have a basic brain that doesn't account for the future if you think people who make bad content should not be criticised. If you say "That's a good job" To a story that sucks the person who made it is gonna think "Huh. I did do a good job" And in turn they wont better themselves or make better content. What I do is ensure that people don't make garbage. Your contest for example. Is bad. Its railroady and all over the place at the same time. You wanna talk about trends? Looking at your account you seem to have a weird obsession with anime. To the point where it plays a part in every work you make. You're telling me a person from 1820s Peru looks like those people on the cover of your contest? Its ridiculous. So let me give you another piece of advice. "You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink" I have given you means to better yourself. But its your choice if you want to do it. If not? That's fine. You can continue being the same as you are now. Which is bad. So you will be criticised for it.
@Bengolong, and you seem to have a track record of constantly gaslighting or criticizing other on this platform because they don't adhere to a certain guidelines you have in mind. Kind of like your Pyschopath Contest.
This contest is open to those that wish to participate and there are no obligations for them to do so.
That being said, you have three options
1. You said what you said but have no intentions on participating so you can move along without having to participate in any of my "railroading" contest.
2. Allow others to participate without you being so condescending of their works and let them enjoy themselves as they craft a tale.
3. Actually being considerate to those without being a straight asshole in this contest, the future contests that you host, or your remarks in the comment section. You dont have to sugarcoat but dont have to be a prick either.
Ultimately, I get that this is a trend for you and honestly its a bit sad if this is how you carry yourself on this platform but to each their own.
If you continue as such, no one is going to want interactions with someone who nitpicks everything just throw a quote from the web or the bible at them.
Dont call your blantant disrespect "constructive criticism" then give them flaws with no viable solutions or pointers of how to fix it. Dont hold a contest to simply tell participants that the time they spent to craft a story is trash, fight about it and call them assholes just to give no one a placing at all.
Hopefully you grow into a decent writer along with the rest of the individuals here but this is also where I end this conversation.
As stated before enjoy your day and all your future endeavors as a writer 📝
@Tenshi no Yami, No it is railroading. You want a very specific story. With very specific details which decides the, plot, setting, and what the characters say. made for you. That's lazy and boring. The saying goes "Speak not of which you know nothing of" Don't argue definitions when you clearly don't know what railroading means. to force something to happen or force someone to do something, especially quickly or unfairly: We were railroaded into signing the agreement.
@Bengolong No one is being railroaded by this prompt as Im pretty sure you're well aware you are not obligated to participate.
However, to keep this a civil and a friendly platform, I will say that you are free to choose a different contest that gives you more... liberties to fulfill your writer's niche 📝.
That being said, enjoy the rest of your day, fellow writer, and good luck in all your future endeavors.
