I agree with you here. I've been compared to my older brother quite alot (though in terms of physical and athletic things, not smarts. I'm the smartest person I know), and it really pisses me off.Don't parents know that their kids reflect THEM? So if their kids aren't as smart as their rivals kids, then it just goes to show that they are trifling as a parent?
