政府近年係更常利用電視、電台、報紙呢啲媒體去改變社會嘅用字習慣添。令到社會上聽得多、睇得多一啲字詞，就會自己用埋一份。

例如：
優化、霧霾、視頻……

@木刻, 新聞界前輩曾教授兩者皆為正字，但報導是摻合了主觀意見的文章（例：娛樂消息、專題特寫）；報道則是中肯中立不加入個人意見的文章（例：天災、財經資訊、比賽結果等）。
