It's OK to feel like that; your feelings are normal and natural. Your parents shouldn't be like that, and they should NEVER compare you to everyone else. Hell, if they compare you to other kids, they should get compared to other parents. You're good enough; focus on being better than who you were yesterday -- NOT everyone else. Focus on shaping yourself.
MIRA 😭 Im so so sorry. I completely get the feeling of never being proud, always thinking you could do better or go further. But your parents should support you!! Im sorry they dont.
Uhhh im jealous of my friends all the time when they get guys, but they actually work for them. Im just like “heyyyy im single…. Anyone?”
Sorry for your loss kiddo. Hope you've got pics to remember him.
I'd tell you to ignore your parents... but it's not always that easy. FYI if they stop you from writing they could hurt your grades more!! Writing can be relaxing as well as it helps you to communicate your thoughts better on paper i.e. your essay writing skill is going to get better!
It's okay to rebel, even if it's just passively. You're at the age you need to start shaping the adult you. Your parents should be giving you a bit more freedom with your choice and decisions. Letting you take responsibility for your actions, not dictating to you. Letting kids be responsible for their actions as they age is hard AF. You're so worried about them making bad life mistakes or getting in danger, you end up taking away their independence and accountability.
Jealousy is fine. It just lets you know the areas you've wanted to be good in but you feel like you didn't put serious effort in there, so someone else's success rubs you the wrong way. Nothing wrong with being jealous it's what you do with that feeling that matters. Do you make efforts to do better? or do you brood, fester and lash out at people for your perceived shortfalls?
On one hand not being happy with your work might be seen as perfectionism (its a good and a bad thing). Good in the sense that you always strive to be better, bad as in you're never satisfied.
On the other hand, the feeling of failure is it coming from you? or is it an acquired reaction from your parents? How does the real Mira feel? What do YOU want? What do YOU like? What are YOU satisfied with?
Appreciate your mistakes, life isn't perfect.
Keep fighting kiddo. I promise, by the time you're 25 you'll look back at these shitty years and laugh about them with your friends.
Haha I actually have tried ignoring but it doesn't work. I've said the same thing but they don't listen!
true. I've tried rebelling but I don't think I'm that type of person at the moment.
I needed to see that honestly thanks
Oh I can tell you right now that perfectionism is from my parents they have this rule where if my grades aren't at a 97.5 I'm not good enough! I want nineties or see a steady improvement in my grades. I do there's more I would like to improve on myself htough
Also, RIP to Cakey. Sorry for the loss :(
thank you

Alright, thanks man
That's awful. You shouldn't have to feel like that.
Yeahhh I know but it becomes a habit when people are always pushing stuff on you.
Ugh I feel that, hard-core.
