I have multiple out of state friends( Texas, Minesota, and Indiana) who definitely don't see anything to rationalize it with( one of them literally goes on rants about people who mistreat others).
I say out of state, because those types of stories usually come from places around in their area when talking about America.
Besides I think I'm a pretty decent person and I don't approve of this or bashing on any of my friends sexual preferances.
@JellyKat, Maybe. I base it off of experience of how ignorant we can be to our own prejudices. After all, I'm sure members of KKK groups would think that they are good people, if asked. Of course, labels like 'good and bad' are subjective concepts, ready to be twisted by anyone.
I not a good person, because I carry prejudices and unhealthy behaviours that I have yet to unlearn, or simply choose to keep. I can be a prick, sometimes intentionally to people, who will forever see me as bed. Others will sort me in either one and expect certain ideals from it. If I were to think of myself as good, I would be blinding myself to all of that. That is not my way.
If that's how you think about yourself, that's cool, too. Life would be dull if everyone thought the same. It's also nice to know that you have friends who speak up about this mistreatment, as many are still silent about it.
