My favorite character is Samuel when he calls himself unworthy of help, does he mean it, or is it his way of teaching humility one last time?

I have more of this story that I still need to publish, so keep an eye out! Samuel is my favorite character too; he represents to me someone who understands how to connect with people, and because of that and his appreciation for those who helped him as a child, he chooses to help his community, even if he may not agree with them entirely.

My favourite part is when the whole town comes together to help Samuel with kindness and faith. Do you think his humility makes him truly holy, or does it make him blind to his own worth?

I believe he knows his worth, which incomparison to greater whole, is very small. Though he affects his community positively, Samuel does not see it as increasing his value as a person, but views the kindness he receives as a gift from Fate (or God if that is your perspective). Samuel does not believe he is in control, that power is in the hands of a higher being, and thus all that occurs is a product of God.
