By far my favorite chapter so far. The idea of a shapeshifter with dubious morality and a lover that is probably using him? Got a week spot for characters that aren't evil or good

I am feeling a bit bad for Lance-Lief though, did he lose even the bell now or was that anothers silver bell? If he did, he is the unluckiest person there.

It was another's bell, though I am considering changing the item to something other than a bell to avoid confusion. However, you are correct nonetheless. The dude is horribly unlucky, as we'll see further on in the story.
