西方的方程論（theory of equations) 習慣以𝑥為未知數。

中國古書有天元術，相當於現代多項方程（polynomial equation）。當中句式「立天元為乜乜」相當於現代「設𝑥為乜乜」（Let 𝑥 be mud mud）。

所以，天元術對《代》以「天」譯「𝑥」有多少影響？🤔
