The rat was there because yeah no one cleaned him up. He ended up washign away with the rain.

Also also: I wasn't talking about Michael; let me explain: Kody technically appeared in chapter 10, when he broke up the fight between Melissa and Adalynne, (plus he was there when Talia was looking at the posters PowerGen put up of her whip wounds). You just never learned his name till recently. idk why I typed the "he first appeared in ch10 or something" though; I was just spurring random crap into my comment and I thought that would give you a hint somehow instead of the chapter where his name is literally mentioned.
