I think we dont realize the lack of differences between magical spells taught to us growing up and promises we make as adults, wishes made on abandoned coins in wealthy wells, and loney stars streaking to unknown destinations we forget a Promise is a vow a bond a decision to actively create an environment only in the minds of you and someone else and it shows that we dont really realize the work that goes into this magic we were brought up to believe in. We forget to thank the tooth fairy and the santas in our lives until they're gone or we become them and we miss the invisible deeds that go into keeping a promise of love and the invisible deeds that cause the breaking or regreting of those same promises. This is beautiful and very elegant.
I love how you just casually write poetry inthe comments. i really like the idea of this - i hadnt thought to compare the two. nice perspective.
differences between magic spells and adult promises: the promises are broken, whereas the spells just fade away as we forget them, as they become more and more nonsenseical in our minds.
@bunnybear, nonsense is broken logic and that is where they both blend back together. I can say santa doesnt exist, but i can't say the man I call father dressed as him giving me joy doesnt exist. Its broken logic we forget and promises we forget to never break in return. Poetry is a conversation and its hard not to right it back when the question or proposal is well meant and articulated.
