因為在伊馮娜的視角看來，伊芙琳和卡爾曖昧了很久（他們是從初一到認識到主線開始的初三結束），但又遲遲沒有真正的關係。伊馮娜自然就會覺得伊芙琳在吊著卡爾，而她認為卡爾不會那麼蠢，看不出來，但還深陷泥潭之中。

但事實就是伊芙琳和卡爾都是兩個受傷的小動物。兩人都很被動，害怕主動靠近，怕會受到傷害，所以一直沒有確認關係。
