I will say that I wasn't entirely sure what the victim was going to do. Initially I thought this would turn into a school shooting type of story but that may touch close to home with some people.
The route they chose was interesting. Never heard of it done that way before but I also want to add that the school system wasn't s**t for doing nothing
Yeah, I didn't wanna include a school shooting type of thing, because (God forbid) any reader's been through that situation, I didn't wanna trigger any PTSD or negative emotions. Felt like that would be a little too far.
Agreed with every word you said, tbh. Bullies suck, and when you're in a school that does very little to manage fights and negative student behavior in general, it sucks, it really does. Like... schools are supposed to be a learning environment, and it's hard to learn when there's a lotta hate and negativity around you. And yet here those schools are, dismissing it like it's nothing. BS. Nothing but BS. And this is why awful incidents like the one in the story happened. Because some schools don't even FREAKIN' ACKNOWLEDGE this stuff! (Sorry, I rambled on that for a while XD. I feel strongly about this topic, even though I've not even been bullied that often in my life. It's just a big issue that bugs me.)
I honestly kinda randomly thought "huh, what if they just did this?" when choosing how the MC handled the situation. Kinda plucked it outta nowhere LMAO.
