Thanks, when I join the challenge, I thought writing about a desert would be hard. Then when I started writing the story unfolded getting larger and more complex. I can split the story in half and post the other half somewhere else. You think that it's a good idea?

sure or try to put in the important part within 2000 words limit if you can manage.
I know the feeling, it happens often when I write an entry in a contest.
