這個也是我會想了解的問題，但還需時間去探索。

簡單地看維基提供的資訊：「南詔的統治階層為洱海地區的白蠻，白蠻漢化較深，語言近於中原漢語，只是四聲訛重，有的名物稱呼不同。唐樊綽於《雲南志》云：『言語音白蠻最正』。所謂正，是以唐代中原語音為準則。南詔建立後，以洱海白蠻語言為主，融合成為新的白語。」
