I actually really liked how you've ended this, I love books that end in suspense, forcing you to wait for the second (I do the same thing) I do know why you feel unsure of the ending. I think what you need to do is expand more on the disappearance of Grim. I just feel that you could be more emotional with this part. You should then take the last part with Baine taking regaining a body to a epilogue chapter. Its a simple change that will create emphasis. Hope that helps

Yes, it does, the last chapter is short, so there is plenty of room for expansion. I will work on it for sure thank you very much!

@Dlofc84,I also recommend putting more in about Damon's point of view about Grim's disappearance. With the relationship that has been built over the last few chapters I'd imagine he'd be confused about how he feels. It may also be nice to see conflicting emotions between all the characters and citizens of Tharpe

@Cynderz, I will have to think about Damon, even him showing publicly the emotion he did his a leap ahead for him. In the next book, he does have more growth and part of it is missing his father. I need to show more on Wallace and Marlin though, both are very devout in their faith, almost more so than that of the necromancers.
