So much of what marriage was intended to be has been watered down, and it's certainly not as highly regarded as it used to be. It wouldn't seem right to talk about marriage without mentioning God at all, especially since He designed it as a representation of the covenant between Himself and the Church. The commitment aspect is so important and too many people are losing sight of it. I just hope that my words in the entry translate that meaning well.
