i want to do whittling - how'd you go about starting something like that?

also, 'i love crowds but hate people' is a vibe. i think i love people, but hate crowds. certain people.

My dad bought me and my sister pocketknives when we were little (like 7 & 9, I think?) He gave them to us while we were camping, taught us how to use them, how not to slice our fingers off, and we started making sticks into pointy spears of death :)

(I did slice my thumb open that weekend, but that's beside the point. It's a wicked cool scar.)
