@Rfrog27, You too? ugh. I have, like, seven out of, what, ten email things that are people trying to 'sell my book' or 'promote my book' and for just a small down payment of 6000 dollars an hour, we can have your book published worldwide! Just give us all of your information and we'll have you set! My first week on here? Got hit with a scam. This place if full of scammers and a--holes. But I love it anyways.
@Rfrog27, that sucks. The best thing is when you call them out, and they go from sweet and sugary to "we're going to destroy you! How dare you not accept our scam!" It makes me laugh.
@xXHisXx, we should make a club. "The Club For Those With Overly Supportive Boyfriends Who Are Way Too Good For You." Also known as The CFTWOSBWAWTGFY.
@Rfrog27, I just annoy them. See, what I do is I out them as a scam, they get angry, start insulting me, and I, who have been desensitized to insults (thank you family trauma), just keep saying 'don't worry, you can do it! maybe the next one will be the one! third (fourth, fifth, whatever works) time's the charm!" et cetera, et cetera, driving them wildly mad! Then I just abruptly stop responding.
@Rfrog27, I take issue with scammers. I dislike anybody who intentionally misrepresents themselves to others, especially others who are more likely to want to believe them. As someone who was in exactly the kind of position where any help was readily accepted, I hate when people take advantage of that to get money. So being annoying and making them angry and frustrated and annoyed seems like good payback. Not as good as they deserve, but okay.
