More intrigue. I like it. I'm a little bit confused about what's happening, but I imagine I'll learn more about it later on. I can't imagine the amount of research you probably had to do on the ins and outs of the networking strategies of wealthy families. These past few chapters flowed rather well. I am glad you wrote this chapter when you did, though. Although it was important to go over how the party worked, it would have started dragging if you hadn't written this chapter to inject some conflict. Conflict is the engine that drives the plot forward, so good job on that. :)
Thanks. Actually, less research and more from memory. My parents were kind of like Logan. So, I had the fortune to attend private schools with children of the wealthy and influential and befriend a few. Then there were garden, dinner, lunch, and cocktail parties, plays, cruises and private island stays. So I've seen the adults and children interact. Plus, the adults will often tell you who to interact with or avoid and who to befriend. Kids were just mini versions of their parents.
@Saurna, Interesting. Can't say I've ever met someone who comes from that kind of background before. That would explain why you were able to describe the interactions so intricately. The chapters on the party just flowed so well, and now I know why. :)
