One other note:  He could sue you. And win.  Better: He could sue you and win.   Starting a sentence with and is considered poor grammar.  Granted, a character may actually talk that way.  

For time you can use 10:00 o'clock  as oppose to 1000. Maybe the : was an omission.

In the paragraph, "This question of mine froze him.... You use some punctuation which I'm unfamiliar with and I cannot type it.   <<   >>   kind of like this... but closer together and narrower. They are used for making arrows or as a math symbol.
