I don't really know. Maybe digging a grave for William in the dry sandy backyard?
Believe it or not but all this to that open ending was a nightmare one night. It took me a long moment to realize that it was ONLY a nightmare, in the dream I was the boy Jack.
I don't know how I could have conjured something terrible like this out of the blue.

@fionadaydreamer, Really? Oh wow... It seemed like quite an intense dream. Even I was quite surprised at stages throughout the story. It like started all cheerful and turned dark and I'm like woah..
but you benefitted from the dream so...At least it's not real.
