With all due respect I disagree with this.Homework helps you go over what you learned in class on your own, which helps you keep the knowledge fresh on your brain for those upcoming tests. Plus, homework (at least for me) is very easy and all you have to do to get through school is do your homework and assignments and turn them on time. That's seriously all you have to do. And for me it also wasn't hard at all to go to bed at a proper time and wake up on time for school and not be sleepy in class (then again I'm a no-lifer so I guess the same can't be said for everyone.) You said everyone isn't a genius, so maybe I'm just one of those geniuses, seeing as I did finish school 3 months ahead of time and literally taught myself Algebra 2 with no teacher and finished the whole class in 1 month.
This is a very fair argument, and I hate homework just as much as the next student, but my English teacher made a fair point.
We're given homework to see if we can retain information. Not just learn it, but KNOW it.
I agree with that and you. I just hate homework. LOL
