Take this from an acting/ singing( I'm a singer, lol) family, voice acting used best raw and with more emotion. There are some part which could have been better without the heavy filters. When you were describing the forrest it could have had more of a sad tone or something similar. A voice that displays emotion is usually a lot more captivating than one without. Of course don't overdo it with dramatics, that usually is more of a comedy route.
That's why I don't think you should put in a lot of filters, I'm sure your normal voice is perfectly fine.
I'm sorry if this seems kind of mean, but my family has done everything from commercials( my middle sister did) to musicals( All sisters, me and my brother) to recitals( me, and my sister). We sort of have the experience... I guess?

No, no, it's fine! It's good to get advice from others. I'm planning on ditching the filters, eventually. Maybe when I stop nitpicking over little things. I'll see if I can add more emotion, though!
